Our apartment is located on a side street in the immediate vicinity of the forest. With us you have absolute peace and no through traffic. From the car parking space on the property and from the garden you reach the separate entrance on one level.
You can expect a cozy living room, armchair, radio, DVD player and satellite TV, a bedroom with extra bed, a bathroom with shower and toilet.
Bed linen and towels are provided. An additional separate room (also with shower, toilet, TV) that is not directly connected to the apartment is available. You are welcome to use a barbecue area with accessories and garden furniture. Storage facilities for prams, skis, bicycles, etc. are available.
Unterweißbach is located in the southern Thuringian Forest between Rennsteig and Schwarzatal at an altitude of 350 m above sea level. The resort is framed by forested heights on the streams of the Weißbach, the Lichte and the Schwarza.
Our place looks back on many years of winter and summer tourism. Restaurants with traditional Thuringian cuisine invite you to linger.
Leisure facilities in town are the adventure pool with giant slide, beach volleyball court, mini golf course, a modern 4-lane bowling alley, a tennis court. You can hike or take a ride on the Lichtetalbahn to the Leibis Dam (Germany's second highest dam) 2 km away.
Well-marked hiking trails lead you to many excursion destinations such as the Oberweißbacher Bergbahn, the Fröbelturm, the Barigauer Turm, the Schloss Schwarzburg, the Trippstein, the Greifenstein Castle and the Haflinger Tüt in Meura. Well-known hiking trails are the Schwarzatal panorama trail, the Froebel and the Olita hiking trail. The Schwarzatal Cycle Path and the Ilm Cycle Path are ideal for cycling tours.
Other destinations are u. a. the glass blowing town of Lauscha, the fairy grottoes in Saalfeld, the flower town of Erfurt and the Oberhof, famous for its winter sports.
