Bartoe Beach House is located on a small island nestled in the tranquil waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Little Gasparilla Island is a unique destination with boat access only. It is a perfect vacation spot for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life...old Florida at its very best!
The main living space upstairs has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Downstairs, on the deck, you will find a newly added enclosed outdoor shower. Bartoe beach house is cozy and well equipped, having all the comforts of home.
LGI offers something for everyone. For the fisherman, the island is located near Boca Grande which is a world-class fishing destination. Fishing from the community dock, the privacy of your own boat, or one of the local charters is sure to bring lots of excitement.
For the nature lover, the island offers beautiful diversity. Whether you are walking the 2+ miles of shaded interior paths, the trails that line the sandy dunes of Don Pedro State Park, or the 7 miles of sea shell lined gulf shore, the beauty is equally breathtaking. Take a break from walking and relax on the dock where you just might spot a playful dolphin or a gentle manatee swimming by. A short walk from the house to the west will take you to the beach where you can enjoy an amazing sunset or for the early risers, catch the sunrise from the dock which is just a few steps away.
For the beach lover, you’ll have no trouble finding a place to put up your chair and umbrella. Unlike many Florida beaches, our white sandy shore is never over crowded. It’s not uncommon to look up and down the beach and discover you have the place all to yourself. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas are provided for your use.

Things to know:
* Little Gasparilla Island is a bridge-less island that is only accessible by boat or water taxi. This island is residential and does not have any grocery stores or restaurants. Guests must bring all food, beverage, and personal items at time of arrival.
*Pirate's Water Taxi is the main mode of transportation to and from the island if you do not have a personal watercraft and and must be made in advance. Normal business hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm. There is a fee of $20 minimum one-way (this covers 2 people and luggage), with each additional person costing $10. The captain will run after hours if previously scheduled at an increased rate. This service runs out of Eldred's Marina where parking is available for a fee (confirm rates at Eldreds for up to date pricing).
*The master bedroom offers a queen size bed while the second bedroom provides 2 twin beds. There is a full bathroom with a combination bath/shower.
*The open kitchen is well appointed with all the cookware, dishes and utensils needed to whip up a home cooked meal or simply make a tasty snack. All minor appliances are available; drip coffee maker, blender, crock pot and toaster. Full sized refrigerator and stove top oven. This kitchen does not have a dishwasher.
*This property is conveniently located close to the bay side of the island and near the community dock (#65) where the water taxi will bring you to or where you will dock your personal watercraft (not to exceed 22ft). There is a luggage/garden cart under the house for assistance in transporting your luggage a short 200 feet from the dock to Bartoe Beach House.
*Our home does not have WiFi but cell service on the island is reliable. A hotspot signal from my phone is usually strong enough to provide internet to my devices for most normal operations. If you would like more information about this, please let me know.
*Although you may notice a golf cart under our home, we are unable to rent it with your stay. If you are interested in a golf cart rental, please let me know and I will give you the numbers of several places on the island who may be able to help you.
*While we are pet lovers at Bartoe Beach House, we do not allow pets in our home at this time.
