Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location was great for our stay, near trailhead at the South end past Wallowa Lake. Also close to the state park and water access. The unit is a self contained apartment that is a daylight basement with private entrance. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen serviceable, two queen beds were comfy. The backyard is bounded by a swift flowing river which can provide ocean-like background noise at night.
Negative: As with many places I have stayed, using the tv was a small challenge. The television is also rather small by today's standards. Being under another house, it is dark and cooler than expected. One of the stove burners was not level. There were screw/nail heads sticking up on the stairs leading down to the entrance. Another one of my pet peeves when renting is door hinges in need of lubrication which was the case here. Nice enough property in need of a little tlc.
