We welcome well trained dogs (NO CATS) to stay in this home. We require that your dog be completely potty trained and prefer dogs older than 2 years old. Crate Trained pups are preferred to deter mischievous behavior while you and your party are enjoying the beach. It is understood that while we do allow dogs with the mentioned stipulations any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file with the minimum fee being $350.00. Prominence on 30A is certain to attract families looking to experience the area with easy access to new and long time 30A haunts along the beautiful white beaches of The Panhandle. Guests will enjoy the community's beautiful town center and 2 resort style pools, 1 heated seasonally.
The Big Chill, a family hot-spot for entertainment, features an outdoor 25 ft LED theater screen which plays host to concerts, sporting events, movie nights on the green, family activities, restaurants and boutique shops. Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.
INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Summary: We also had some confusion regarding the location and thought it was across the street at Watersound with access to the private beach. Access to the public beaches was anything but easy with limited or no parking available. The nightly rate was more than reasonable, but with all of the fees it ended up being double the published rate. The golf cart, "Greased Lightening", was anything but fast. We topped out at 13 miles an hour which didn't allow us to drive it on the roads and the charge barely got us to the closest beach access and back. The cart rules are also unrealistic with "no driving after dark"? Daylight savings time precluded us from taking the cart to dinner or the Big Chill. The cart is tired and needs a serious refresh. Listing that chairs are also provided would have been helpful. We called and were told there was no guarantee, so we brought out own and they took up a lot of roon in the car. And finally, providing a few beach towels and coat hangers in the closet would be nice. Overall, the home was comfortable. We made it work and had a nice time.
