Merta Sari, which is located in Penestanan, Ubud, has two houses, both are traditional “Joglos” made from antique timbers that have been sanded, resealed and the houses rebuilt on site. They are separated by a large swimming pool. They have modern, stylish, quality furnishings in all the rooms and modern fittings in the bathrooms and kitchen. The living area of the larger joglo, which is for rent, is open on three sides and catches a breeze both day and night across the rice fields. The smaller joglo is the owner’s, who visits from time to time, is completely separate and unoccupied when guests are in residence. The garden is spacious and beautiful and completely private.
