1 Bedroom Cottage in Toledo
This is a shared property (We live in this home) all the common area (kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom, and outside patio's) are shared with our guests.
The room for rent is a Private WATERFRONT ROOM w/ attached15 x 15 deck facing the water with recliner, 2 person glider, table & 4 chairs @ Lakeside Cottage ~ We also have a second bedroom available if needed, just ask.
Beginning of Summer Specials ~ We offer 5% & 10% OFF for 7 & 30 or more day stays.
Please Note: The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is down stairs.
*Bathroom~ Walk in Shower, No bath tub.
Because we take our guests health very seriously, we chose to close to guests for 5 months. This gave us the opportunity to freshly paint EVERY ROOM, disinfect ALL furniture, draperies, bedding, linens, walls, floors, etc.
We have also implemented additional cleaning protocol to keep our guests as safe as possible during their stay. In addition to our normal amenities we provide guests masks, hand sanitizer & disinfectant wipes to use if desired during their stay.
Our beautiful home sits on Lake Erie's Maumee Bay. WE LOVE LIVING HERE & we enjoy sharing our home with people from around the world. We hope you enjoy being on the water even if it's just for a day or two.
It's always our goal to provide our guests with a 5 star experience. We strive to create an atmosphere where you can relax & unwind. We want our guests to feel like this is their home away from home.
*Included in the Waterfront Guest Room is a:
Private deck~ You 15'x15' private deck is so close to the water it feels like you are hovering over the bay & it's just off your room.
(Spring thru Fall we furnish it with table and chairs, outside recliner, & 2 person glider)
*The bedroom is upstairs but there is a hand railing going up the stairs. The other side of the stair case is completely open as shown in the pictures. We also decorate with a lot of glass.
**(Unfortunately for this reason our home is not very suitable for children under the age of 6 or people who have trouble going up and down stairs.)
*Mayfly celebration on Lake Erie marks the beginning of Summer and typically runs May - July. You never know how long they'll stay to visit or how many will show up for the party.
The most important thing to know about mayflies is that while they look like a moth with a tail, they do NOT bite or sting. They tickle like a butterfly if they land on you but they can NOT hurt you.
*PARKING ~ 1 car per reservation as we have very limited parking, parking is in our driveway. The largest vehicle we can accommodate is a double cab truck with 6' bed.
SWIMMING: 1. Maumee State Park (15 minutes away) has a great beach on Lake Erie & a man made lake with lovely beaches also.
2. Lunar Pier, MI is just North of us 12 Miles (about 15 minutes) they have a very nice beach. You must pay for parking.
This is a perfect place to stay for so many reasons...

No smoking or Vaping anywhere on the property.
They are drawn to the light and just like the mosquitos, flies, and other bugs they may enter the house when the doors or screens are opened.
