Welcome to Grayton Beach—a beautiful part of Old Florida beach history. If you haven’t been here before, Grayton Beach is the kind of place where you vacationed as a kid. The “McDonald House” is a true piece of funky Grayton Beach history. It is named after its former owner, singer/songwriter Michael McDonald, whose family lovingly cared for this Magnolia Street home for years. New to the Grayton Beach rental market, the “McDonald House” underwent a fresh renovation in 2012. It is wonderfully decorated and has a cozy beach feel.
The well-designed floor plan has covered parking on the street level, and living areas on the second and third floors. A screened sleeping porch and an open rooftop deck mean your two most important vacation bases are covered—naps in the shade and sunset views of the Gulf! The house is laid out beautifully, with:

Summary: We are 2 families, so the house worked well for us. The adults had 2 king sized beds upstairs and the teens were downstairs. We could have used one more bed downstairs (2 twins + 1 queen), but that is no fault of the owners. Also, there are only 2 bathrooms, so it was a little tight for 8 of us, but also nothing to do with the owners. The kitchen was pretty well stocked, but there were a few things missing like dish towels, oven mitts, salt & pepper, and cookie sheets. There were plenty of towels and some beach chairs plus 4 bikes. The front porch is screened in and has this huge bed/swing which one of our teens slept on the whole trip. The beach is definitely walkable, but it takes about 10 min to get there. The house is close to everything in Grayton. And the backyard pool and grill are awesome. Very clean...would definitely recommend.
