✧ Parnell is a beautiful inner city neighborhood that is both historic with echoes of Ponsonby and Grey Lynn. It also has lots of new infill housing made up of townhouses and apartments. It blends the old and new with great shopping and entertainment options available on Parnell Rise and in Newmarkets its close neighbour. Along with the Rose gardens, and Auckland Museum there are beautiful heritage buildings like the wooden St Marys Church and its modern neighbour Holy Trinity Cathedral.

✧ The Parnell Rose Garden is wonderful to pay a visit to on a sunny day. Walk down to Judges Bay for a sea swim or wander along to the Parnell Baths. There is the delightful tiny chapel on the right. Walking around the gardens you are on the site of Kilbride the home of Auckland Pioneer Sir John Logan Campbell.
✧ 10min drive to Newmarket Westfield shopping mall and Smith & Caughey's.This is the branch store of the larger mothership store on Queen Street. This is also well worth a visit for all the high-end brands under one roof. The Queen Street store is Auckland's Sydeneyesque David Jones.
✧ Go for a drive, a jog, or a stroll along Tamaki Drive breathe in the sea air and stunning views of Rangitoto Island and the inner Hauraki Gulf. You can play mini golf just along from the Parnell Baths. You can drive to Kelly Tarltons Underwater World in between Okahu & Mission Bays. You could walk as far as you like but remember to wear a hat and some sunscreen in spring and summer.
✧ Being central and close to CBD, the house is a short drive to the shopping malls, cafes, bars, and restaurants in Parnell Rise, Mission Bay, the CBD, or Ponsonby Rd. As Auckland has become more racially diverse so has the quality and range of international cuisines. The new flavours, and styles of their individual cuisines make Auckland a foodie's paradise.
