Prisca House is a lovely historic apartment holiday of about 120 square meters inside the medieval village of Buonconvento in the province of Siena in the heart of Val D'Orcia one step away from the land of Brunello Montalcino.
Finely restored with furnishings and custom furniture, Casa Prisca, faithfully respects the original architecture with Tuscan arches blasted along the walls of the living room, on the floor of the Tuscan bricks salottto, plank floors in the bedrooms and exposed beams on the ceiling.
Comfortable and refined, suitable for families or romantic couples who want to carve out a very pleasant personal retreat for holiday and leisure, Prisca House has a separate entrance leading to the first floor of this bright and fresh apartment comprises: entrance hall, kitchen very large with breakfast table, living room with dining table that seats up to 6 people, fireplace, and two beautiful bedrooms with two bathrooms.
The master bedrooms is unique: set in the medieval tower of the walls! Has a bathroom within the room. The guest bedroom has a comfortable double bed to the French and is served by a bathroom just outside the room. 'Casa Prisca' is equipped with all amenities starting with free WiFi, flat screen television with satellite channels, stereo and dvd.
A few steps from the apartment you can find everything; the village of Buonconvento is full of restaurants, shops and buildings of the place. Every Saturday morning a few steps away from Casa Prisca, there is the Saturday market where you can find everything starting from food, clothing, household goods etc. etc..

Summary: Our stay in Buonconvento was absolutely wonderful. It is like being part of another era, yet with all modern amenities to make our stay so comfortable. The town is very close to the spectacular wine regions of Chianti, Montalcino, and Montepulciano, so we could pick a destination every day and enjoy a breath-taking drive.The place was beautifully restored, is very spacious, comfortable, and lacked nothing. It even has a fireplace, although a few candles sufficed for us. We cooked wonderful dinners with ingredients from specialty stores (and a large supermarket) within 5 minutes walk, and had cafes and wine shops less than 5 minutes on the cobblestone paths! We fell in love with this place and the week went by way too fast!Although Prisca was absent, communication through text was instantaneous. Her friend Laura was very helpful and made the whole check-in and out extremely easy. She was also very friendly and gave us plenty of local info.As opposed to some other historical places around Europe, driving to the place was extremely easy and although you can’t drive directly to the door, there is a large parking lot just outside the fortifications, so maybe 100 meters (?) away. It is one of our favourite stay in our 6 weeks through Italy so far. We highly recommend this place and are already looking forward to our next visit to this magical kingdom.
