Potter’s Lodge at Peake’s Retreats Glampsite is one of our luxury yurts which sleeps up to 6 guests. Fully insulated and with wood burning stove it is perfect for year round use. Potter’s Lodge has a superkingsize ‘real’ bed, and is designed to give you the experience of camping with comfort and luxuries of a hotel ( glamping ).
You will have access to our fully equipped cooking cabin, where a breakfast crate filled with locally sourced goodies awaits you for your first morning (please advise of any dietary requirements). Or gather your friends and family in our Finnish BBQ hut ideal for BBQ s in any weather, it seats 24 people and has a large open BBQ in the middle, so everyone can take it in turns to cook.
The 8 seater hot tub is located centrally to the yurts and is a great place to relax and unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Staffordshire countryside.
Our shower and toilet blocks are well thought out and are a far cry from those of a standard campsite, think 5* hotel. Equipped with hairdryer and large lit mirrors you can also enjoy the Neals Yard Remedies Organic toiletries provided for your enjoyment during your stay.
The yurts do not have power to them, adding to the romantic and authentic camping feel, but are well lit with battery operated lights and candles. A torch is provided but you may wish to bring more depending on how many guests you are. You will find charging lockers located in the shower and toilet area suitable for phones and small tablets, there is also power in the cooking cabin.
There is an onsite children s play area, and games for all of the family, making us an ideal choice for couples, families, or groups of friends wanting to catch up.
Why not book a massage or facial in your yurt, or if there is a group of you use our beautiful light and airy, yet lovely and warm, treatment room.
All bedding and towels are included, as well as wood for the wood burning stove in your yurt. Charcoal is available to purchase for the BBQ hut or you can bring your own.
We are located 1 mile outside of the quiet Staffordshire village of Anslow, and just 12 miles south of the beautiful Peak District. There is plenty to do near us, with activities ranging from horse riding, to Alton Towers, Pot painting to country walks. If you need ideas for activities just ask, we are happy to help, and can even organise activities for you in your yurt (wine tasting anyone?). There are several lovely farm shops and farmers markets near to us, so you will be able to purchase a large selection of locally produced goods to prepare meals in your yurt, alternatively we can recommend many nice places to eat out locally, our village pub is just 1 mile away and is dog friendly and serves lovely food.
We are also dog friendly, for an additional £30 fee, you can bring your furry friends to enjoy the glamping experience. We ask that dogs are kept on leads at ALL times when on site, as a courtesy to other guests
