Pet-friendly post & beam farmhouse, located less than a half a mile from the beautiful Castle in the Clouds - visit the mansion, attend a wedding, view the gallery, savor the cafe/restaurant, or walk the trails. Enjoy beautiful mountain breezes on the patio and time with friends and family roasting marshmallows around the fire pit while playing a game of bocce or horseshoes. Our post & beam farmhouse is well-stocked and offers plenty of space to spread out and relax with friends and family.
This spacious open-concept, single-level floor plan includes 3 generous bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 8 people. On one end of the home, you will find the primary bedroom, which features a large picture window, a king-size bed and an ensuite bath with radiant floor heat. On the other end of the home, sits a cozy second bedroom that offers an additional king-sized bed as well as the bunk room, which sleeps a total of 4 people between two queen beds. There are also two twin bunks that sit over the two queens, but they are best suited for children.
Wood beams and shiplap adorn the ceiling while granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large center island and a soapstone farmer's sink complete the kitchen. AC units in virtually every room will keep you comfortable in the summer months while a pellet stove in the kitchen will keep you warm in the winter. The outdoor patio offers plenty of seating so you can enjoy long conversations with friends and family. Please note that the home does sit on a main road and it is not fenced in.
Included is fast wifi and smart TVs in virtually every room of the home. We also offer Hulu with live streaming TV.
There is a two house-trained dog limit (no cats allowed) per stay with prior permission for an additional fee of $150. You will also be required to sign our pet addendum and may also be asked to sign our short-term rental agreement. Pet blankets, a dog bed, a dog crate, and food bowls are provided. Dogs must be crated if they are left unattended.
This home is positioned .2 miles down the road from the beautiful Castle in the Clouds mansion and hiking trails, across the street from late fall/winter horseback riding and just 5 minutes away from Moultonborough States Landing beach and boat launch on Lake Winnipesaukee.
Set in the middle of it all, this beautiful post and beam farmhouse is just 20 minutes from Meredith, 20 minutes from Wolfeboro, 35 minutes from Gunstock Mountain, 50 minutes from North Conway, and 60 minutes from both Loon Mountain and the White Mountains.
THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA:
Castle in the Clouds - The home sits just down the road (.2 miles) from the beautiful Castle in the Clouds hiking trails and mansion tour. You can also dine at the restaurant or café, take in the beautiful view and/or attend events. You can also cross-country ski or go snowshoeing on the hiking trails in the winter!
Horseback Riding - High Meadows Farms is located just across the street from our home for some winter riding fun. The winter barn contains endless trails into the woods, past small streams, over bridges, and through acres of beautiful scenery. All trails are wide and well maintained and can be accessed throughout most of the year. The summer location in Wolfeboro provides spectacular views of the White Mountains and rolling grass pastures from the middle of June through Columbus Day Weekend.
Golf - Ridgewood Country Club is located in Moultonborough just about a half mile down the road and is open to the public. It is widely known as a course playable by all levels of golfers. The first nine holes are etched throughout a beautiful landscape and requires the player to make precise and accurate shots, while the back nine offers a more open layout, giving the player chances to play aggressively and attack each hole. Overlook Tavern is also open to the public and is open 7 days a week for lunch and light fare dinner.
Shopping - Both Meredith and Wolfeboro offer great shopping right on the waterfront and each are just 20 minutes away. North Conway also offers fabulous shopping and is a 45-50 minute drive away. The Tanger Outlets in Tilton, NH offer over 50 outlet stores from the Gap to Old Navy to Starbucks.
Beaches - Just 5 minutes away, you will find Moultonborough States Landing beach and boat launch and just 20 minutes away, you will find Long Island Beach. Weirs Beach is an area main attraction located just about 30 minutes away.
Gunstock Mountain Activities - If you are an adventure junkie, you will love Gunstock Mountain! Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and tubing in the winter and zip lining, adventure parking, coaster riding, and Bronco Off-Rodeoing in the summer. Located only 35 minutes away!
Ice Skating - The Pop Whalen Ice & Arts Center, located in Wolfeboro, offers public skating.
Arcade - Funspot includes over 500 video games, pinball machines, and ticket redemption machines; an indoor miniature golf course; 20-lane ten-pin and candlepin bowling; cash bingo; a restaurant; a tavern; and several other attractions on its grounds. Located just about 25 minutes away.

Museums - If you are a World War II history buff, you will most certainly enjoy the Wright Museum of World War II, which is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the contributions and enduring legacy of WWII-era Americans. The Libby Museum is the oldest natural history museum in New Hampshire. Inside is a collection of birds, furred animals, skeletons and exotic artifacts dedicated to Dr. Libby’s love of the natural world. Both museums are located only 20 minutes away in Wolfeboro.
Scenic Tours - And don't forget the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, which you can pick up in Meredith to tour Lake Winnipesaukee. You can also take a scenic tour or dinner cruise from Weirs Beach aboard the M/S Mount Washington.
