In the summer, there is a blue VW van on the pier in Gaia that transports you free of charge to all twenty beaches on this coastline, passing through the mouth of the Douro River to the pier in Gaia and Porto from 09:00 AM, until 06:00 PM. You can get off and on whenever you want with this free means of transport. It is a fantastic tour.
