Positive: We drove down from Northern Maine to see a concert at Jimmies Blues and Jazz Club which was just fab. The food was out of this world and our guys playing? Alex Lopez Express and Memphis Lightening were awesome. However, you want to hear about the Port Inn. It is a decent location, easy on and off 95. We started in the back building which wasn't QUIET but, hey, we are in the city. The pool was lovely, heated to 85*, with plenty of towels and chairs. The FIRST room was adequate in size although tiny bathrooms (both rooms), one could do what one needed in there. Lol The kitchenette sufficed. 2 of each item, perhaps adding more depending on additional guests with cots or whatever. I cleaned around both cook tops because they had brown, burnt on stuff on both that just needed the point of a sharp object and voila'! Clean!!! Breakfast was continental so you get just what you would expect.
Negative: The king sized bed??? Absolutely the hardest mattress we've ever slept on. And not just in one room. They kindly allowed us to move from the original room for our second night. The mattress was every bit as hard. Needless to say, when the primary reason to get a hotel room is for sleep, we won't be back.
