The Sweet Escape is a new vacation home that celebrates beach life in Bradenton, Florida. Reimagined in early 2023, our three-story home is great for families, friends and retreats. You’ll enjoy all-new interiors, sun-filled living spaces and five bedrooms (most have bathrooms).

RESORT-STYLE BACKYARD
Our backyard invites you to relax and soak up the Florida sun. Drift away in our swimming pool or lay back on chaise loungers as palms sway in the breeze. Ready for another tropical drink? Head to our pool bar where you can mix up cocktails and watch TV at the counter bar. This is also the place to tuck into a fresh fish or barbecue dinner, as the grill is just steps away.
The young – and young at heart – will love our half-court basketball court (with anti-skid flooring) where you can shoot hoops and team up for games. As the golden hour light gives way to a neon sunset, capture the magic at our plant photo wall which proclaims in neon of its own: “This must be the place.”
LIVING ROOM
Our living room is filled with beachy hues and windows that bring in sunlight. Kick back on the oversized sectional sofa as you share stories from your day. Or cozy up for a movie night with pillows and popcorn. Decor accents that make you feel equally at home include greenery, beach artwork and resin silver tables that resemble oak beams. You’ll also find a glass door that opens to the wrap-around deck.
KITCHEN & 2 DINING AREAS
The kitchen envelops you in a world of white that is refreshing. Lots of cabinets and drawers have everything you’ll need to make delicious meals together. And yes! There’s a blender for your piña coladas. You’ll also enjoy marbled countertops, stainless steel appliances and a coffee & tea bar. Plus a kitchen island where you can eat breakfast before the beach.
Two dining areas off the kitchen invite your group to gather around the table. In a nook near the living room, a glass table sits beneath a starburst chandelier. Over in the dining room, enjoy long meals at our silver-leaf table. You’ll also find abstract artwork, a palm plant and dazzling chandelier in here.
5 BEDROOMS
Five bedrooms on the main and upper floors are peaceful places to enjoy some “me” time. They put you in instant vacation mode with soothing color palettes – and design touches that include beach artwork, woven lamps and toss pillows. All rooms have smart TVs and lots of natural light. And most come with plants, patterned rugs and cushioned benches or ottomans.

Our bedrooms sleep up to 18 guests. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are located on the main floor while the other rooms are upstairs.
4 FULL BATHROOMS
Four full bathrooms offer plenty of space for your self-care routine. Modern features include glass lights, white vanities, and black and brass fixtures. On the main floor, a hallway bathroom is located near the two bedrooms. And upstairs, all three bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The master bath is a sight to see: it has a porcelain soaking tub and glass-enclosed shower with rainfall shower heads. Our bath amenities include hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
HOME GYM
Our spacious gym makes it easy to run, bike and bench press without leaving the house. Our new Ethos and Sunny equipment spans from free weights and two power racks to a bike, treadmill, rowing machine and training ropes. There’s also a large-screen TV so you can watch shows or play workout-worthy music.

CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Check-in is after 4:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am.
PARKING
Our driveway can fit up to 5-6 cars. In addition, there is an abundance of parking on our neighborhood street.
FIREPLACE
The wood-burning fireplace in the living room is not available for guest use. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
SWIMMING POOL
You are welcome to heat the swimming pool up to 86 degrees for an additional $30 per day – please let us know in advance if you’d like to do so. There will be an extra cost if you’d like an even higher temperature.
Please do not touch the pool heater control panel as pushing buttons there will cause me to lose the ability to heat the pool remotely. Instead, reach out to me with any questions.
BBQ GRILL
To use our gas grill during your stay, we ask that you pick up your own propane tank to fuel the burners. Tanks can be purchased at stores like Home Depot, Ace Hardware and Target.
BASKETBALLS
We’re happy to provide basketballs for our half-court basketball court. Please note there is a $50 restock fee if a ball is missing following your stay.
QUIET HOURS
Thank you for observing quiet hours between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. THE BAR AREA IS STRICTLY MONITORED AND CLOSED AFTER 10PM EVERY NIGHT. We have very sensitive neighbors and we want to stress this rule. At 10:00 pm, we ask that you also turn off the basketball court lights as they are bright. During quiet hours, an outdoor noise monitoring system will alert you via text and phone call if the noise level is too high. Thank you, in advance, for being considerate during this timeframe. It is very important that the quiet hour rules be strictly adhered to during your entire stay.
SECURITY CAMERAS
Please note there is a security camera at the front door, and one in the driveway.
SMOKING
To keep The Sweet Escape fresh and clean for all, smoking is not permitted inside. If cigarette or marijuana smoke is detected, an $800 fee will be applied to your reservation. You can, however, smoke in our uncovered backyard space.
EVENTS
While unauthorized events are not allowed, we may be able to accommodate a small, intimate event in our backyard for a fee. Please reach out if this is of interest.
PARTIES
Parties are not allowed at The Sweet Escape. Any evidence of such will result in a $1,200 fee and an immediate termination of your booking. Thank you for your understanding as we strive to keep The Sweet Escape in wonderful shape for all guests to come.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
Please note that a $500 security deposit will be applied to your booking. Just like at hotels, this deposit will be released following your stay, provided there are no house damages incurred. More than anything, this deposit ensures that guests treat our home as if it was their own -- which leads to a better vacation experience for everyone.
