Privacy and Covid 19:
This apartment is very private, with it's own entrance, parking, patio and garden. It is separated from our living quarters with a fence and locked gate. The maid and gardener will be in your area for about 1.5 hours weekly. We will offer you fresh towels mid week, and other than that, you will only be around other people if you invite friends or family to join you. We are very much into our privacy and designed this apartment with that in mind. If you are concerned about exposure to others or just want your time to be yours, this apartment is the place for you.
A brand new Pickleball facility, La Cocina just opened in March, 2024. This covered facility is literally just around the corner from us, the same distance as to the beach.
Karen cleans thoroughly with bleach, vinegar and glass cleaner. These are the only chemicals that we allow her to use.
The apartment:
With the exception of the walls, everything in this apartment is new. From the floors, cabinets, appliances, linens, and kitchen items to the mattress, the furniture and the paint, all is new. We have decorated it with a small part of our art collection from Mexico and Guatemala.
Located near the Dolphin Statues on Playa la Ropa, Casa 4 Vientos is a large home that has a private apartment occupying the first floor. It features a private entrance, furnished covered patio, landscaped private front yard, elevated fish pond and a dedicated parking place. Although it is on the first floor, it is 13 steps up to the entrance of the apartment. It is a block and a half from the water-close enough for us to carry our paddle boards down daily without a steep uphill climb.
The large one bedroom one bath queen bed apartment has a well appointed kitchen, with refrigerator/freezer, four burner gas stove with oven, microwave and coffeemaker with loads of counter space. We are cooks and tried to set up the kitchen with the items we need to cook with, and there is service for four of everything. There is a dedicated router with FREE 50 Mbps of secured wifi service. The windows are all fully screened, and there is a safe.
Once-per-week bed linen and twice weekly towel changes are included, along with weekly cleaning of the apartment. We include your drinking water, dish and bath soap, and toilet tissue.
The weekly gardener maintains the exterior areas. You have a large, secure pet friendly private front yard. The yard has been planted with tropical plants, mostly heliconias and gingers providing wonderful flowers. Of course there are several large coconut palms too, an absolute necessity in the tropics. As an added bonus, there is a small elevated pond with blooming water lilies and fish that we invite you to feed.
There is a large AC unit and there are three ceiling fans with lights. There are reading lamps on each night stand, several seating areas, and a private covered patio just outside the front door with seating. We are also providing two Tommy Bahama type beach/backpack chairs and an umbrella. There is also a drying rack for bathing suits and towels.
Lighting is very important, so along with the reading lamps on the night stands, there is an under counter light in the kitchen, and the entry and stairs are very well lit with switches both at the gate and in the apartment. There is even a peep hole in the front gate so you can screen any visitors!
A dedicated, free parking space is available by request on site that will hold any size vehicle.
FLASH!!! We have just gone solar, with enough panels that we are sending our excess electricity production to CFE, Mexico's power company!
