Honokowai and surrounding neighborhoods did not suffer from any fire damage. Fire demage was limited to Lahaina city which is several miles to the south. Kaanapali shopping and dining district did not suffer from any fire damage. A lot of restaurants still exist but advanced reservations will be required.
Hale Mahina (Ha-lay Ma-hee-na) Beach Resort, meaning “House of the Moon” in Hawaiian, is located on the world famous West Coast of Maui adjacent to the West Maui Mountains, between Kaanapali and Kapalua in the beautiful oceanfront town of Honokowai. Hale Mahina Beach Resort is one of the most sought-after resorts on Maui's west side.
The renovated 4th Floor (top floor) B-402 unit is the largest 2 bedroom unit (1440sq ft) in the complex. This two bedroom two bath unit has a full gourmet kitchen. Top of the line furnishings Hawaiian artwork, Koa staircase with glass, custom tile work throughout set the stage for the most relaxing vacation you will ever enjoy.
The upstairs master suite has a king size bed with oversized master bath, open air shower, private toilet and lots of closet space. The downstairs guest bedroom has a queen bed, guest bath with a spacious shower, large mirrors and lots of cabinets. A Queen Sofa sleeper is also available. The non-smoking, pet free suite sleeps 6 comfortably.
The airy suite has 3 Televisions with cable, Wi-Fi, Stereo system with Ipod dock, and two DVD players. Washer and dryer are in unit.
The condo is naturally cooled by the ocean breeze. When the Lanai screen door, front screen door and the 24/7 open Skyvent are open the cool ocean breeze gently sweeps through the condo naturally cooling the condo. The condo also avoids direct sunlight exposure for most to all of the day further mitigating afternoon heat temperature spikes.
From the private lanai complete with an outdoor dining set you will savior magnificent ocean sunsets and panoramic views of the neighboring Islands of Molokai and Lanai. Watch the whales, turtles swimming in the pristine water during seasonal periods.
The complex boasts manicured tropical gardens, adjacent to one of the few magnificent private sandy beaches in all of Maui. The private sandy beach is a perfect entry point for snorkeling, surfing, swimming with the neighborhood turtles or just relaxing and working on your tan lines. The complex has an oceanfront swimming pool with hot tub and lounging chairs. Charcoal barbecues and picnic tables are sure to create a memorable ocean front sunset cookout you will remember for years to come.
Old Lahaina Town and Whaler’s Village renowned for it memorable shopping and dining is just a few minutes away as are the world famous golf resorts of Kapalua and Kaanapali. Kihei and Wailea are just 35 minutes away and the Kahului airport is just 40 minutes to the east. The trip to Hana is a memorable day excursion.
