Villa Pietre Focaie is found in one of the most charming locations ever. San Gimignano and its towers are at its feet, the view is just like a postcard, sweeping right up to the hills of the Chianti area. The surrounding countryside is the classic Tuscan landscape with geometrical designs of the vineyards and the olive groves dominated by cypress trees rising from the ridges of the hills. Here and there are ancient country houses, villas and farms, a blend of all those characteristics which have rendered Tuscany famous. A group of friends or a large family are only spoilt for choice as to how to spend their holidays: sweetly idling by the pool or excursions to the many ancient towns in the country such as Volterra, Monteriggioni and Siena, easily reached or Florence , only slightly further away. The chef’s cuisine is absolutely excellent and you can have it prepared for you at the villa upon request or directly at the owner’s restaurant in San Gimignano. The villa has been recently renovated keeping the old wooden beams, the brick arches and the stone walls. The land around the villa is terraced with lawns and has excellent garden furniture, a brick barbeque, a veranda for outdoor meals, a table tennis table and a tennis court shared with the owner. The swimming pool (9x18, 1-2m deep)(15/05-30/09) is about 60 metres from the villa characterized by its infinity edge giving over a breathtaking view and by a couple of pergolas suitable for relaxing in the shade. All the rooms have satellite TV and all the bathrooms have chromotherapy. Car park on the property. PLEASE NOTE: the owner lives on the property but completely detached. However, the guests have to pass in front of his house in order to reach the swimming pool. The owner has a famous restaurant in San Gimignano and is rarely home. He has 4 small dogs which are normally kept away from the rented villa. Up to 300 kwh of electricity consumption are included in the price. Consumption exceeding 300 kwh is to be paid for apart.
