From the time you leave your car, you won’t be able to take your eyes off the beautiful view. Private and secluded yet minutes from downtown Maggie Valley, this home offers convenience while being able to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains. The home offers 2 bedrooms, 2 baths with an additional sofa bed which comfortably sleeps 6. This home is owned by its original builder and has been kept immaculately, with love. Come see why the owner hand-picked this site to build their dream home... there is no other view like it! At this high elevation you can enjoy the cool mountain breeze, as this house does not have air conditioning. Please note: this house does NOT have AC. This house does NOT have internet/WiFi. Less than a 40 minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tony’s Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 15 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing. This cabin is a 50 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday). A little more than 40 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 20 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops. Approximately, 45 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 2 hours to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood). The approach to this vacation rental is a paved to the driveway and then turns to gravel. The roads are steep with sharp turns. We advise during the Fall and Winter Season (more specifically during inclement weather) guests use an all-wheel drive or 4 wheel drive for accessibility. *Dogs are welcome up to 40 pounds, for an additional non-refundable fee.
