Surrounded by rainforest with a uniquely private lakefront position, Orange Grove offers everything you are searching for in a holiday property in the Great Lakes area. The 4 large contemporary bedrooms all have spectacular rainforest views. With 2 separate lounge areas and 3 bathrooms, this beautifully designed spacious property is perfect for couples, friends and for families looking to holiday together, while providing everyone with their own space to relax.

Orange Grove sits on 3000 sqm of lake front property and was designed by local award-winning architect Ian Sercombe, to the highest standards of design and environmental living.
The main living/entertaining area has beautiful views on 3 sides with a fully equipped cooks’ kitchen, dining area and lounge. For those winter evenings you can curl up by the luxury log burner – hard to beat!
A second lounge/ chill out area provides a separate space to get together to watch a movie or for the kids to play. There are LOTS of movies of all genres plus books, board games, toys and a Play Station.
Both living areas open onto a deck that runs the length of the property with a formal dining table that seats 8 and bar stools for a more relaxed vibe - great for sundowners or beers by the BBQ.
The sunny terrace sits off the kitchen and has a fruit tree and herb garden, plus a hot and cold shower for rinsing off after a swim.
The first floor has 4 bedrooms along a central corridor bound by the rammed earth wall.
2 identical contemporary master bedrooms sit at either end of the house both with queen beds, a separate luggage/dressing area, desk and a balcony with beautiful views through the treetops.
There is a super cute bunk room which has built in wooden bunk beds with windows along their length that look out through the trees - the best spot in the house for kids to hang out nature watching.
A third bedroom has a queen bed and offers an interconnecting lockable door with the bunk room.
We are happy to provide up to 2 extra foam mattresses for additional children.
2 large family bathrooms serve the 4 bedrooms - with shower, bath and an amazing outlook it really is the loo with the view!!
A walk down steps through the rainforest garden brings you to a secluded lake front beach – great spot for fishing.
Orange Grove aims to provide you with the ultimate relaxing holiday experience. We provide bed linen, towels, basic kitchen/laundry amenities (olive oil, balsamic, sugar, tea, salt, pepper, foil, dishwasher powder, laundry powder etc) and for families we have a high chair, travel cot, small children’s dining table, and kid’s cutlery / plates.
FREE WI-FI, Netflix and local calls are provided for your convenience.

Location & Surrounding Area
Smiths Lake is located in the Great Lakes region, approximately 3hrs drive north of Sydney. The Great Lakes is an area of outstanding natural beauty, encompassing clear lakes and waterways, spectacular beaches, green forests and breathtaking views.
Beaches within 5 - 10 minute drive of Orange Grove include Cellito, Boomerang, Blueys and Elizabeth patrolled, and good for kids. Local lakes are ideal for swimming with young children, with shallow clear water. Seal Rocks is a 20 minutes drive away - head up to the lighthouse for great views, and whale watching in season. Forster is approximately 20 minutes drive, which has large supermarkets and various retailers. Smiths Lake village has a butcher, baker, village shop and the Lakes Cafe which does a great coffee.
There is a short 9 hole golf course nearby, as well as 18 hole courses at Forster and further north. Tennis courts are located at Pacific Palms, and are available to rent. Kayaks and small boats can be hired from the Frothy Coffee Cafe - a great way to spend an afternoon.
Head to 'The Reccie' for a lakeside drink/meal and watch the sunset across beautiful Wallis Lake.
