Ideally located & just a 1 hour drive from Perth City. The Penguin Shack is the perfect place to get away from the city without having to travel too far. It has loads of character, featuring high celings & polished floorboards throughout & has a lovely relaxed feel about it. It's in a very convenient location too being one street back from the beach where there are free use public bbqs & a children's playground, it's a 10 min walk away to Mersey Point (where you catch the ferry to the beautiful Penguin Island) & directly across the road is a supermarket, bottleshop, post office, cafe, restaurants & a bus stop which takes you to the train station, which can then take you to either Perth City or to Mandurah. The Penguin Shack is fully equipped with everything you need. Even the linen & towels are provided. There is also a porta cot & high chair available on request. It has 2 bedrooms, the master room has a queen size bed & the guest room has a double bed. It's perfect for a couple & still very comfortable for up to 4 people. The house features a living room with TV, DVD & many DVDs to choose from, stereo, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, bathroom with claw foot bath, seperate shower, sunroom & a fabulous decked outdoor entertaining area with tropical gardens, bbq, outdoor setting & a heated spa under a gazebo. The Penguin Shack is ideal for a romantic getaway, small family or small group of friends. You can take in the fresh ocean air, take a stroll to the many beautiful local attractions, enjoy a hot spa, soak in the clawfoot bath by candlelight or just simply relax & enjoy! There is an abundance of marine & wildlife just a short walk away including dolphins, sea lions, penguins, pelicans & all sorts of other marine & birdlife. It should be noted that tours to Penguin Island are closed during the nesting season usually June through to September The surrounding area is also ideal for kite surfing, kyaking, fishing, boating & of course swimming. Pricing Please see below for nightly / weekly rates, but please note there will be exceptions to the prices for public holidays & the Christmas & Easter periods. A fully refundable bond of $100 - $300 (depending on length of stay) is also required for all stays.
