The idyllic and pastoral surroundings make you feel as though you must be moving through the work of a renowned Artist. Finally arriving at the highest point in the surrounding countryside you move down a long path of majestic fir trees along what was once the ancient Roman Road. At it's end sits the inviting hamlet that is ‘Manoir du Mur’. These captivating stone structures built over the 13th to 15th centuries make up what was once a Medieval hamlet and still exist today as ‘Manoir du Mur’ and its adjacent out-buildings. This historic site has been lovingly renovated in keeping with its architectural and historical integrity, while at the same time offering 21st century amenities. Manoir du Mur includes four fully furnished ‘themed’ self-catering apartments, a medieval Dining Room/Hunter's Lodge, an 'Assembly Room' with stage, cinema, and fully equipped kitchen for catering, an extensive English library, an ancient outdoor bread oven, an artist studio and a 'Knight's Room'.
