3 Bedroom Cabin in Robbinsville
Located in *Graham County, our mountain cabin, Hooked on Snowbird, sleeps six, and one of the best trout streams in western North Carolina borders our entire backyard. Enjoy the screen porch overlooking the water for an early morning cup of coffee or to relax any time of the day. The property is located on almost 2 acres and the cabin has an open floor plan with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a vaulted ceiling in the kitchen and living room area. You will feel the open space when you walk in, and with the master and guest bedrooms on opposite sides, everyone will have an added layer of privacy. Enjoy watching and listening to Snowbird creek from two bedrooms, the family room and back porch. The master bedroom has a king size, Puffy Lux foam mattress (new in 2020) and each guest bedroom has a queen size bed. You will find everything needed in the kitchen with plenty of granite counterspace to allow easier meal preparation. Enjoy evenings by the firepit with a picnic table close by, or just sit in the swing by the water and soak in the soothing peace of the gently flowing stream. Located on a private lane accessed by a one lane bridge, the area seems to be tailor made for serene morning or evening strolls. We also have Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and a laundry room with washer and dryer to provide a balance of rustic accommodations and modern convenience.
Excellent trout fishing can be found on the hatchery supported or Delayed Harvest sections of the Snowbird, or take a drive to the Nantahala or Tellico Rivers, both of which are included in the Trout Unlimited list of the top 100 in the nation. Completing the Smoky Mountain grand slam of catching a Brown, Brook and Rainbow trout is possible. For those wishing to tangle with a legendarily strong steelhead trout, the Snowbird becomes a special stream in the winter months with a run of steelhead trout from Lake Santeetlah.
—North Carolina State Fishing Regulation in March— Please note that stocked trout streams, including Snowbird Creek behind the cabin, are closed during the month of March. However, one exception is delayed harvest streams for catch and release only (one is located 5 miles upstream from the cabin) remain open in March.
For your traveling convenience, the cabin is stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, dish and dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, card and board games, Weber charcoal grill (charcoal not provided) and even a 6-quart programmable slow cooker for the kitchen. Heated throw blankets keep you warm and cozy during the cooler months.
