The Noonday Lodge, on lovely Horse Pointe, is an nine-year old, custom-designed home that is bright and spacious. It is the perfect retreat for family and friends any time of the year. This wooded, waterfront property on Lake Blue Ridge has spectacular lake and mountain views, a boat dock, and a furnished gazebo with a fire pit, perfect for late night s’mores. The main level of the house offers a fully equipped designer kitchen with Kitchen Aid appliances. The dining area opens up to a covered deck where there is a Weber gas grill. The living room has a large leather sectional couch, two swivel chairs, a lovely floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and a 65” television. This room opens up to a covered deck with another fireplace and comfortable outdoor seating. The main floor has two bedrooms; the master suite, complete with a large walk-in closet and a double-sink bathroom with a stone cascading shower, and the second bedroom is a king bedroom, but can be converted to two twin beds. This room also has a full bathroom. The full-size laundry machines are located on the main floor.
The terrace level sleeps up to 8 people, big and small! There is a family suite that offers two bedrooms; a king room and a connecting room with two twin beds and a double futon, and a full bathroom. Another king bedroom, with the best views of the lake, shares a full bathroom with the children’s bedroom, which two twin beds. The bar includes a foosball and a shuffleboard table. The family room has two overstuffed comfy chairs, a full-size couch and a 65” television. The Lodge has ceiling fans throughout the house, WIFI and Direct TV. There are beach towels, water floats, and some children’s toys available for your use. The boat dock is available to you if you choose to rent a boat or bring your own. Boating on Lake Blue Ridge is a fabulous treat; you can take in the breathtaking houses on the lake, take a turn on the rope swing, try to catch “the big one,” and go tubing. Lunch or dinner at the Marina Bar and Grill should be on your to do list as well!
The Noonday Lodge is a four-mile drive to Downtown Blue Ridge, offering countless upscale shops and restaurants, art galleries, wine bars, breweries, and all the vacation activities you desire…whitewater rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking trails, horseback riding, zip-lining, and even a train ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway! Our favorite places to visit are Huck’s General Store for their “penny” candy, and Mercier Orchards for their fried fruit pies.
The Noonday Lodge is named after our family foundation, The Noonday Foundation. The Noonday Foundation feels obliged to give to those who have less than we do, no matter where they are located around the world. We chose the name based on Isaiah 58:10 - “And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the NOONDAY.” Our family knows that we are extremely blessed to own a house on Lake Blue Ridge, and we want to pass this blessing along. Therefore, we will be donating 10% of every rental to one of three charities listed below. You make the choice and the donation will be made on your behalf.
