This charming furnished lakefront home with "unheated" private pool, lighted private pier & panoramic views of Salt Lake is approximately 2-1/2 hrs from San Antonio & 3-1/2 hrs from Austin by car. No parking issues, shuttles, security checks, baggage claims, transfers or tiring layovers. Gas up the car, pack up the family & head to Rockport.
Rockport offers an Airport suitable for lite jets only 5 minutes from this home. Regardless of how you arrive you'll find plenty of safe & secure off street concrete parking for cars, trucks, boats or personal watercraft.
Unlike Key Allegro this property is on the North Side of Rockport, 1st. right turn after crossing causeway on Hwy 35. Home is on Salt Lake which has an inlet into Copano Bay. The view of Salt Lake from balcony, patio or pool is spectacular, this shallow lake is perfect for fishing off the dock or kayaking. Very scenic & picturesque compared to crowded canal front homes and without the 2 or 3 vehicle parking limitation often found when staying on shallower properties with canal.
This lovely furnished coastal home sleeps 8 maximum with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs. The master bedroom has a king size bed, walk in closet with private bathroom & walk in shower.
The "Whale Room" offers a king bed as well as a roomy closet to store luggage, shoes and hang your clothes. The "Bunk Room" has a bunk bed with two full sized beds, smart TV & armoire for storage. The second bathroom is a full bath with a tub-shower combo that is shared by house guests, and occupants of Whale & Bunk bedrooms.
There is a spacious kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals. The living room has a large flat screen TV with plenty of seating for the family to watch a movie or catch a ball game.
The upper deck off the living room offers amazing views of Salt Lake & coastline at sunset. The stairs down from the upper deck land at the in-ground pool. Nearby under the covered patio is a dining table, pipe BBQ pit, old smokey grill, picnic table with plenty of seating for everyone.
There is a full bathroom downstairs for your convenience with shower to wash off after swimming or fishing. The private fishing pier has bench seats, green fish lights, fish cleaning station, built-in rod holders & kayak launch. Kayaks, life vests, rod storage, & refrigerator for beverages or food are located in the garage for guest use.
