Additionally, this holiday home in Portugal has a swimming pool and offers sunbeds and umbrellas, air conditioning throughout, balconies both front and back and a fully equipped kitchen. Also, you have a living area with a dining table and seating around the TV. There is a hotspot that provides an internet connection if you are interested, but it has an extra charge. Furthermore, the sliding door in the living area allows natural light to enter and leads to the balcony with a beautiful pool view.
In particular, the kitchen has an extra table, a full cooker and oven, dishwasher, washer, refrigerator, microwave, cookware and utensils, perfect to cater the entire family; one of the bathrooms has a bathtub and the other a shower; one of the bedrooms has a double bed and the other 2 have single beds. Getting Around:
This holiday home is inserted in a secure gated development, from which you can walk to all amenities. Such as, supermarkets (closest at 400m – Contiente Bom Dia), pharmacies (closest at 600m - Farmácia Carrilho), both traditional and modern restaurants, etc.
Additionally, at a 5 minute walk is the main square via a beautiful promenade and marina. The nearest beach is Praia de Santo António - this is an 8 minute cycle from this holiday apartment and most of it (5 minutes) is through a beautiful pine forest. Monte Gordo is a 5 minute drive away or 15 minute cycle along a secure cycle path. Otherwise, if you fancy a day in the fashionable Praia Verde a 15 minute drive will take you there.
Furthermore, a tourist train goes to the Praia de Santo António beach throughout the summer months and there is a lovely restaurant and beach club with DJ called Caramelo Beach Club from June to September. Of course, driving to this beach is possible too, however it's a bit of a dirt track, but by car it's about 4 minutes. There are concession beach beds, but it never feels crowded even in the summer months! On this beach you can walk for hours to Praia Verde which takes about an hour along the beach. Praia do Cabeço has a real beach club vibe also. Monte Gordo is a 30 minute walk along the beach.
Moreover, if you want to have a day away from the beach you can take a 10 minute drive to the historical Castro Marim village or take a trip to Ayamonte, Spain by boat across the Guadiana river for tapas, so you that can experience both Portuguese and Spanish culture in one holiday. You can also enjoy world class golf e.g. Monte Rei at a 25 minute drive or take advantage of the excellent cycling in the region you’ll be staying at as there are a lot of cycle paths and flat making it a really popular activity in the area.
In addition, there is a nature reserve called the Reserva Natural do Sapal de Castro Marim e Vila Real de Santo António. There is a new cycle track beside the nature reserve on the road to Castro Marim and you can often see Storks and Flamingos there. The cycle to Castro Marim is approximately 20 minutes. There are fabulous safari tours through the nature reserve on open top jeeps. There are also natural salt pans in this area and there is a natural, outdoor, mineral-rich water spa where visitors can bathe in salt and clay, which is excellent for the skin! This is a whole other Algarve, far away from the hustle and bustle where the only sound you hear is from the birds.
So, at just 30 minutes from Faro Airport and 1.5 hours from Seville Airport, this is a great holiday home for a memorable vacation in a location where there is a lot to see but also very relaxing.
