Per the website www.townoflakelure.com: Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available.
No Pets, No Exceptions
Welcome to Palms to Pines Lodge! Enjoy your Getaway from the Every Day in this wonderful log cabin with plenty of room for your family and friends! Palms to Pines Lodge features three bedrooms plus three additional sleeping areas and offers three and a half baths, affording comfort for up to 10 people!
Located inside the gates of Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure, this lovely log cabin is nestled in a serene wooded setting, offering guests a full array of experiences in and around, including access to superb resort amenities! It’s only a short drive over to the Rumbling Bald clubhouse for golf, swimming, amenities & access to Lake Lure. In just under an hour, you can be in downtown Asheville, and in about 15 minutes, you can be in the towns of Lake Lure & Chimney Rock and approximately 45 minutes to the Asheville Regional Airport. The cabin is accessed via paved and fully maintained roads up to the spacious driveway with parking for 4-5 vehicles.
Spacious, warm, and inviting, with a kitchen guaranteed to inspire your inner chef, Palms to Pines exceeds the loftiest expectations. And speaking of lofts, no log home is complete without one!
Enjoy lounging in this cozy space–literally: there are two real-deal loungers here for reading, napping, seasonal sightseeing through the windows, or whatever your heart desires above the gathering areas.
In the living room adjacent to the open kitchen and dining area, guests will find their contentment in front of a roaring fire in the stone fireplace, watching the wall-mounted TV, engaging in conversation, and admiring the seasonal displays through plenty of windows, high and low.
Equally delightful is the wraparound porch, delivering the feel of nature, more seating, and a sure-to-please fire table for chilly days and every night! The yard also has a wood fire pit for your marshmallow roasting pleasure! Lake Lure is a picturesque vacation community boasting “small-town friendly” residents who are very welcoming to guests.
The lower level will absolutely bedazzle the sports fans among you. Imagine being in a pub in Europe, and you'll know the feeling this space evokes ahead of time. The landing with a stone accent wall leads to a super vibey bar with plenty of seating, another wall-mounted TV, dart board, pool table, two queen bedrooms, a full bath, and more wood and stone accents, which add up to complete entertainment heaven: fall football, race days, movie nights, and more, with unparalleled ambiance.
Tastefully yet comfortably furnished, Palms and Pines offer a perfect balance: ample seating and pleasing decor with neat, uncluttered open spaces for mind-clearing, the main objective of vacation, right?
Lake Lure has so much to offer guests, from swimming, kayaking, boating, and hiking to walking trails, streams, and much more. You are 5 minutes from the restaurants at Rumbling Bald, the fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, a private beach, and two golf courses, all at your disposal during your stay at Palms to Pines Lodge.
If there's any downside of Palms to Pines, it's that you won't want to leave!
You are just a short drive from America's favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, motorcycle touring, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and zip-lining…just about any outdoor activity! Or, take a scenic ride to downtown Asheville or Hendersonville to enjoy the first-rate restaurants, shopping, galleries, spas, and entertainment.
Quiet hours: Please note that this cabin is located in a very quiet residential, private, and exclusive area of Lake Lure. Parties, loud noise, and unruly behavior are absolutely prohibited, and guests are expected to respect the neighbors and the peace this Lake Lure area affords. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.
Pets: Many of our guests have allergies, so we have maintained a pet-free environment so they can enjoy their vacation without the potential of an allergic reaction. If you have a pet, we can recommend some alternatives nearby.

AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2025, through the first quarter of 2025(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.
