You have your own very private pool, and the option to heat the pool. One concern is the temp of the water. The house has a high-grade pool heater, Pentax, but it is a large pool for Palm Springs. The ambient temperature affects pool Water. In the Summer Months, the outside temperature can exceed 110F in the day and often at night does not go below 90 F. During those Hot Months, the pool water is naturally 80's without heating. In the winter months, while the days are in the '70s, the nights can be in the low 50's
So, even in the winter, you can swim in the day, but at what cost? At night when the outside temp drops to 50's the pool has heat loss, so in the winter to heat the pool, the heater has to work 24/7, and use a lot of gas.
Also if you want the pool heated on arrival in the winter, we need to turn the heater on at least 24 hours before your arrival.
What does it cost to heat the pool? You will need to tell me the desired temperature you want in the pool. 80 is comfortable for most, some like 75, some like 85, some even like 90. ( bath temp)
Based on the temp you want, we can quote a price and heat in advance. In the summer to heat to 90 is as low as 50 dollars a day, and you have to add one day to Pre- Heat.
It could be $100 a day or more in the winter, depending on the exact month and the temp setting, with one day to pre- heat.
Therefore if you want the pool heated, please tell me your desired temperature, and we will send the tell you the price and you can decide.
That said, while we can make no gurantee that the pool heat will be to your liking, at it is effected by the environment, etc. We will,l howeve, make our best effort andl run the heater as directed- There is a temp gage on the heaterthath shows the heat in the pool.
