Summary: I stayed at this property for a few days over the Christmas break with my family, and also rented a nearby cabin for the rest of the family. The place is generally okay but it’s outdated and desperately needs attention.Most distressingly, the cabin was infested with rat droppings everywhere: in the pantry, in and around the beds in all three bedrooms, and even on the coffee and side tables in the living room. This level of neglect is simply unacceptable. Despite informing the owners/caretakers, their reaction was very casual. They promised to send someone to clean up and lay traps, but no one ever showed up during our entire four-day stay.In comparison, the second cabin we rented had more bedrooms, overlooked the lake, and was relatively cleaner and in much better shape. Despite these differences, both cabins were priced the same, which made us feel cheated.Until the owners address these hygiene issues and update the property, I cannot recommend this cabin to others.
