This one-bedroom, ground floor walk-out, has fantastic full gulf views and is only steps to the beach. It features a bright beach decor that will make your vacation in paradise truly memorable. The screened lanai is practically perched upon the sand! An added bonus is that it is a corner unit with extra side windows and convenient laundry room.
Just a short walk (north) down the road is a small shopping center with great restaurants. Just north of the shopping center is a very nice park if you like bird watching. You can see hawks, spoonbills, ibis, and woodpeckers to name a few! There is also a small grocery store nearby that has a great selection of easy to prepare items. With only ten units, grills, picnic tables, a beautiful beach, plenty of chaise lounges and a pool, what more can you wish for?

Summary: Beauty — This sunny, nicely appointed, and comfortable property, located steps from the beach, was especially perfect for my husband, who enjoys laying in the sun and can’t walk too far. It also worked well for me (no sun please!) because the screened porch at the rear of the property provided a great view of the beach and surf. I loved having breakfast and reading out there. The Beast — While we were vacationing at this property, we experienced a nasty hurricane. There were torrential rains and gusty winds, even talk of possible storm surges and flooding. I feared flooding in the property itself, given our close proximity to the beach. Fortunately, we experienced no flooding and were able to go out that evening. I actually got a lovely long nap in as the hurricane passed over. This was our first time in Longboat Key, which we found to be a wonderful upscale area with great restaurants, closely adjacent to all that Lido Key and Sarasota have to offer — shopping at St. Armand’s Circle and the Ringling Brothers Circus Museum and Mansion being two of our special favorites. Susan is a lovely host. She is upbeat, accommodating, funny, and full of good suggestions.
