Mossy Oaks Camp is snuggled into the oak brush on the "back 40" of our property at the base of Grand Mesa. The canvas outfitter’s tent features two wood-burning stoves and three air mattress/ cot beds (queen, full, and single). Nothing about Mossy Oaks is fancy; the silverware is mismatched, the tables are plastic or plywood, the beds are a bit dusty, and the floor is dirt. And there’s no internet, electricity, or running water. But, as Mastercard claims, the experience is “priceless.”
Staying at Mossy Oaks is part of the vacation! You’ll drive to our house (four-wheel drive is required from late fall to spring), park your vehicle at the end of the field, and load your belongings into our side-by-side ATV. You’ll drive the side-by-side up a short trail to Mossy Oaks Camp. There, we provide all the “camp” essentials – fresh water, a cook stove, firewood, kitchen supplies, a cooler, towels, lanterns, an outdoor restroom facility, etc.. Ice is available upon request. Please bring your own pillows, sleeping bags, extra blankets for the cold nights, and whatever food you’d like.
Mossy Oaks can accommodate 5 people. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge (unless something is damaged). We have 5g cell service with T-Mobile at Mossy Oaks (not sure about other carriers).
