Constructed in October of 2016 this brand new 3 bedroom two bathroom beach house is nestled in a quiet cul de sac close to Orford's most beautiful beaches. A two minute stroll from the house and you'll be on the sand. Orford Sands is the perfect spot to enjoy all that beautiful Orford has to offer. The picturesque bike friendly coastal gravel track runs along the esplanade just behind the house. Why not walk, run or bike along this track which affords stunning views and winds all the way to the shops and fantastic park to the left and the squeaky sands of East Shelley / Spring beaches to the right. The house is situated in a quiet cul de sac in a flat area perfect for bike riding. It's family friendly area with kids able to play ball games on the street and very little traffic. There is a large master bedroom with King size bed and ensuite complete with a large walk in shower. A further two large bedrooms are fitted with robes and Queen beds. A second spacious bathroom includes large shower and a bathtub. A cot and high chair are available on request. Please note the house does sleep 8 but this involves two people sleeping on the sofa bed which is in the living room. The house comfortably sleeps 6. The kitchen is well stocked with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, sandwich maker, kettle, Nespresso pod machine with milk steamer. There is a large deck with bbq and comfy outdoor setting to seat 8 for some serious R&R. Pour a wine while you listen to snags sizzling and the waves crashing of an evening. Just off the deck is a private, open air shower complete with hot water, perfect to wash off after sandy beach days. A path leads from the deck and outdoor shower to the brand new swim spa which has seats for 6 and is heated to a comfortable temperature for all year round swimming. Indulge in some hydrotherapy in the sun or under the stars! The house has a heat pump and washing machine and all linen and bath towels are supplied. The water is safe to drink but a limited amount of bottled water is also supplied. Access to the Property: Access is by way of a key safe and the owners don't generally meet guests in person although will be available via phone and email for queries during each stay. Park: The park is fantastic for kids complete with a bicycle track with traffic lights, basket ball court and great play equipment. It also has outdoor gym equipment for adults to use while the kids are playing. Beaches, Nature & Activities Orford is a very special place with amazing jetty, surf and boat fishing, beautiful beaches and river for paddle boarding. The beaches offer snorkelling, diving and surfing, and beach combing for incredible shells on Millingtons, East and west Shelley beaches. There are peaceful bushwalks and heaps of native wildlife around the house including echidnas, pelicans, wallabies, rabbits and bird life to name a few. Orford is also a great base to explore the entire East coast and national parks like Freycinet which is 2 hours to the north or pristine and uninhabited Maria Island which is a 30 min Ferry ride away. Amenities Orford has a well stocked IGA supermarket, post office, newsagent, cafe, restaurants, pub and bottle shop There is a doctors surgery, chemist and petrol station 10 min away at Triabunna Other attractions: There is a great golf course, bowls, wineries and Maria Island national park is a 30 minute boat ride from Orford (via your private boat) or Triabunna (public ferry). There is also public MAST jetty a minutes drive down the road at East Shelly Beach.
