HEAVENLY HOMESTEAD is being offered for the 2023 season with some changes in the units available. As the pictures have previously shown, it was offered as two side-by-side cottages with occupancy available in both units to any renters. The owner for the 2023 season has decided to remove the smaller cottage from the program for the owner's personal use during periods of time when we have no guests in the larger cottage. The Heavenly Homestead property is in the middle of almost nine acres of natural beauty. Trees, outdoor seating area, exterior BBQ, it's simply perfect for your Orcas Island Getaway.
Centered on almost nine rural acres of Orcas Island natural beauty, sits an architecturally designed cottage just waiting to take you back to a simpler and quieter time. The cottage provides luxurious accommodation, a soaring ceiling, great lighting and wood burning fireplace for cozy nights (wood supplied).
The cottage provides a full kitchen and beautiful tiled bathroom with walk-in shower. For sleeping accommodations, it has a queen size sleeper sofa downstairs and a luxurious queen bed in its upstairs loft area.
The cottage benefits from wall-mount HD smart televisions for streaming Amazon and Netflix. Hi speed Internet provides convenient Wifi for any online services you might need to access while in residence. The cottage includes a work desk, but working isn’t what we recommend when visiting the most beautiful of the San Juan Islands. Orcas is called the Emerald Island for good reason. While on the island visit Moran State Park, Cascade Lake, Mount Constitution and the most beautiful bays in the Islands. Whale watching, fishing, swimming, it’s all here.
You’ll become enraptured with the sounds of the ocean in the distance and a glorious chorus of birds sing nature’s melody. Unique birds caress the trees and two bald eagles (affectionately known as Fred and Ethel) visit the pond frequently. Deer are present and enjoy the pond and meadow too. At sunset, the sky is illuminated with amazing colors that peek through the trees. Enjoy the sunset on the patios as you sip a glass of wine on beautifully crafted furniture.
The real fun at Heavenly Homestead is outdoors onsite where you will find an outdoor fire pit (wood provided) and comfortable seating for lounging on an outdoor stone patio overlooking your domain. There is a distant view of water seen through the trees enclosing this wonderful property.
Due to steep terrain and a fairly deep pond, only children 10 and older can be accommodated on this property. Maximum occupancy is 3 guests and no children under of the age of 10 are allowed.
The owners may be onsite using their separate cottage when no guests are present.
No parties, no smoking and quiet hours must be observed, none of which will in any way impact enjoying your stay at Heavenly Homestead. Please note this home has 2 steps to the entrance.
