Harris Lake Hideaway is the perfect walk-to-town location for those who do not want to get in their car every time they leave the house! It is in a beautiful, walkable, neighborhood that is only half-a-block away from a small lake. Our home delivers the ambience and relaxation that you seek when you vacation in the mountains. Our home is a fun mix of mountain and modern and is designed for comfort and convenience. It also provides three desks/work areas with charging ports and WiFi to accommodate those working remotely or taking online classes.
Proper cleaning to insure the safety of our guests has always been our top priority. Our professional housecleaner uses disinfectant and sanitizing products.
Our ranch-style home is spacious and comfortable! The 33-foot family room is a wonderful gathering space filled with an abundance of natural light. It has a cozy conversation area centered around the fireplace, a TV area, and a dining area that seats eight. The open concept continues into the breakfast room which provides a large desk/work center and breakfast table. The master bedroom is serene and tranquil with a king bed, desk, walk-in closet, en suite bath with double sinks and a tub/shower combination. The roomy second bedroom also has a king bed and desk. The third bedroom has 2 twins beds. The second and third bedrooms share a full hall bathroom. The upscale kitchen is well-equipped and easily handles family and holiday meals. Right off the kitchen is a spacious laundry room. A laid-back screened porch and two decks are great outdoor areas, perfect for relaxing and outdoor dining. Our HVAC system provides room-by-room temperature control.
The house is well-equipped for family vacations, girls’ getaways, reunions with friends and family, celebrating special occasions or those just wanting to escape the summer heat. Town center is a treasure-trove of amazing restaurants, unique shops, and weekend concerts in a beautiful park, all within an easy walk.
There is so much to see and enjoy in Highlands!!! Popular, close-by sites include Harris Lake (where the ducks provide non-stop entertainment) and shore fishing half a block away. One block further is Main Street where you will find the nationally acclaimed Old Edwards Inn & Spa, Kelsey Hutchinson City Park, Town Square, one-of-a-kind shops, art galleries, churches, and award-winning restaurants clustered within the surrounding blocks (The Wine Garden & Madison's at Old Edwards Inn, Lakeside Restaurant, Mountain Fresh Grocery & Grill, Wolfgang's, Wild Thyme Gourmet, The Blue Bike, Ugly Dog Pub, etc.) Also, just a stone’s throw away on Main St. is the Hudson Library, the Highlands Nature & Biological Center, and trailhead to Sunset Rock.
