Stay in southwest Michigan on Lake Michigan at peaceful and bright Blue Star Bluff, a lakefront home with spectacular views from every room. Situated overlooking Lake Michigan, watch birds and boaters by day and sunset each evening. Convenient to South Haven and Saugatuck/Douglas dining, wineries, beaches, bike trails, boating, golf, agri-tourism, parks, shopping, and festivals.
New kitchen. Dedicated workspace & fast wifi. Baby gear available on request, and beach gear (chairs and towels) for all 8 people.
There is no beach access onsite; amazing beaches are just 10 minutes away.
Blue Star Bluff offers dining for 8 inside and out on the trellised deck overlooking Lake Michigan.
A propane grill is available along with a new kitchen featuring a double oven and induction stovetop. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, water filter, and hot water kettle along with ample dishes and cutlery.
The living room offers upholstered seating and good lighting for reading, relaxing, and great conversation. The fireplace features a display of battery-operated candles for ambiance as fires and open flames are not allowed indoors during rentals.
The main floor includes a bathroom with a low curb tiled shower.
The lower level features a comfortable sectional and 65" television ready for you to use your streaming service login (no cable service at this address). Play euchre, scrabble or other fun games at the table for four. A sturdy futon that opens to a double bed is available in this room, too.
A comfortable bedroom with queen bed and countertop area for working, puzzles, or crafts is located on the lower level. The washer and dryer is located behind closed doors on this level.
Upstairs find 3 bright bedrooms plus baby gear by request including a crib, changing table, and pack-n-play. (Baby gear is stowed out of the way for guests without young children).
The primary bedroom includes a television along with a bathroom with fiberglass shower. The shared additional upstairs bathroom features a comfortable cast iron tub for a good soak, also equipped for a quick shower.
Both upstairs and down you can browse an eclectic collection of books for all ages. The upstairs hallway includes a desk area for using your laptop.
The home is air conditioned but comfortable with windows open to lake breezes most of the summer.
The garage may be used for parking one car, with additional parking available. 3-4 cars total can be accommodated. A provided diagram gives tips for turning around. The driveway is shared with 2 neighboring homes.
Enjoy 8 deck chairs around a large outdoor table for happy hour and meals; 8 adirondack chairs; a portable fire pit; firewood, and yard games.
During your stay you may use a collection of beach chairs, 2 chaise lounges for sunning, and beach towels provided for each guest. Drive just 10 minutes to South Haven's North and South beaches. Saugatuck's spectacular Oval Beach is less than 20 minutes away.
Travel 1/2 mile down Blue Star Hwy to the Casco Township Nature Preserve to run laps, stroll with baby, and enjoy serene woods.
Blue Star Bluff is available for rental for a minimum 5 day stay during peak season and 3 night stays, off season. Off season often includes early check-in and late check-out. Monthly options are available.

The entire house and yard is available during your stay at Blue Star Bluff. Climbing on the bluff or throwing things onto the bluff is not permitted, due to the fragile ecosystem along this stretch of the shoreline. Please take care to prevent children from playing near the bluff edge; toys that tumble down the bluff are not to be retrieved. Fireworks are not permitted at any time.
A storage area in the upper area of the garage is not accessible to guests. One locked closet is for housecleaning.
Blue Star Bluff is the headquarters for high speed internet for a few neighbors. If you need more Mbps, just ask the host, who owns the wifi company! In the very rare event of an outage, the host may need to access a locked cabinet in one upstairs bedroom or equipment mounted on the house. This is extremely unlikely but possible.
Blue Star Bluff is a comfortable home for up to 8 guests. Renters exceeding this clearly stated limit will be asked to leave and will forfeit their security deposit.
