Over 4 years, we architecturally designed and fully re-built a tired historic Portuguese house to create four elegant, modern and individual apartments within a calm private Courtyard garden patio inside the Old Town walls of Lagos, W Algarve.
"Old Town Hideaway Lagos" house, overlooking the tranquil allotment gardens and hidden away in a quiet backstreet of the Old Town, comprises 4 modern apartments, all with private entrances, large private bathrooms, private lounges and modern private fitted kitchens with eating areas, both indoors and outside.
Sunny Daze Suite - Sleeps 4 adults & 1 child (children over 12yrs only due to stairs) – 1st and 2nd floor levels with loft style mezzanine, accessed via a private door and staircase from ground floor level.
On 1st floor level, there is an airy loft-style lounge with sofas, modern fitted kitchen, huge bathroom, conservatory dining area and sofa bed (transforms into a sprung full size bed for a child -note - it is visible from the mezzanine bedroom). The lounge goes out into a conservatory which overlooks the garden allotments and old town wall.
Also on 1st floor level is a separate twin bedroom (2 x single beds or the room can be configured as a Superking bedroom), with hanging space, chest of drawers, bedside table and bedside lamp. Windows overlook the allotment gardens and old town wall. The room is large enough to also fit a cot for a baby (can be supplied at additional charge).
On the airy Mezzanine level overlooking the lounge, there are two single beds for 2 adults with hanging space and a chest of drawers. There is also a velux window in the lofty ceiling area. Please note that the Mezzanine level is accessed via a spiral staircase and therefore unsuitable for children under aged 12 years or those with difficulties climbing stairs. The Mezzanine is partially visible from the lounge.
The Suite has an conservatory dining area as well as a fully fitted and equipped kitchen with electric oven, hob, fridge (with freezer compartment), kettle, toaster and utensils/crockery.
There is also a TV, Wifi, hairdryer, board games and a safe for the use of guests.
Bed linen, towels and beach towels are provided.
Outside, there is a tranquil shared terrace and a communal washing machine & outdoor sink area for the use by guests.
There is a large open free public car park only a 3 minute walk from the Property or for those requiring secure parking, we have a space available (additional charges apply and the space should be reserved with us when booking) in a secure locked private car-park, also a 3 minute walk from the Property.
The Suite is a 2 minute walk from the restaurants, cafes and bars of Lagos Old Town, a 10 minute walk from the lovely beaches and a 12 -15min walk from the Marina, with its many boat trips and more restaurants and bars.
Within a 15 minute drive, you will find 4 golf courses (BOa Vista, Palmares, Espiche and Penina) and driving ranges as well as the Portimao Autodromo race track hosting MotoGP, the Algarve Classic Car show and Le Mans Endurance races.
The property is also only a 12 minute walk to the local bus station, which has local buses to other towns including Praia da Luz, Salema, Burgau, Sagres and Portimao as well as Express coaches to Lisbon.
Lagos also has a train station with trains to towns between Lagos and Faro and then beyond as well as connections for trains to Lisbon and Porto.
