Our holiday home "Old Barn Cottage" is a place to unwind, whether in the best weeks of the year on vacation or after a busy business day.

Today's Old Barn Cottage was built in 2000. Rebuilt in 2019 to a holiday home. Since Zwingenberg is located on a slope, the farmers used to have their barns in the valley, in the "Scheuergasse". Later, when the barns fell into disrepair and the demolition price was given, the city of Zwingenberg decided to rebuild the Scheuergasse. The house fronts could be created only 1-2 floors with quarry stone or half-timbered fronts. The result was a beautiful street with many beautiful houses, where live today private individuals, there is a restaurants, a museum is located and notaries and lawyers have their practices. Externally, the Old Barn Cottage is a one and a half storey house, inside a true space saver on seven offset, open levels. On the ground floor there are kitchen and dining room. From here, two half levels lead down to the bathroom, guest toilet and bicycle storage room. Upwards there are three staggered levels with living room, one sleeping level with a double bed and one sleeping level with two single beds. The tower room invites you to browse or work. The open staircase in the middle of the house connects all levels with each other.
