The Old Bakehouse offers comfortable modern accommodation for four people in the middle of St Mawes. A two minute walk gets you to all of the amenities of the village with Summers Beach and Tavern Beach being within a five minute walk. The Quay and the harbour from where ferries run regularly to Falmouth, Truro and Place is less than 100 metres away Steps up to the front door give access to the very pleasant lounge with a feature natural stone fireplace for cosy fires on a cooler evening. The lounge has two sofas and an arm chair, TV, DVD and JBL docking station for an i-phone. Off the lounge to the rear of the property is a good sized kitchen diner with electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining area seats six persons with ease. A door from the kitchen leads to a small secluded rear garden that is arranged over three levels and has garden furniture and BBQ. Stairs from the lounge give access to the first floor where there is a light and airy double bedroom with high ceilings window and Juliet balcony with a garden view. The second bedroom is a large twin room with part vaulted ceiling, there is a feature stone wall with the original fireplace. Between the two bedrooms is the modern bathroom with bath with over bath shower, wash hand basin and WC. Heating is by night storage heaters, and the open fire. A travel cot (no linen) and high chair are available upon request. Parking is available in the main village car park approximately three minutes walk away. If you have a larger party then consider looking at Buckingham Cottage as well which is directly across the lane. St Mawes offer a a range of ferry services in the season from the harbour from where ferries run regularly to Falmouth, Trelissick,Truro and Place. St Mawes has a great range of services including butcher, baker, chemist, Coop store, post office, banks, and a range of hotels and pubs that offer a variety of meals. The village is a great centre for water sports, and has three beaches. The many attractions that Cornwall has to offer are within easy reach of St Mawes, including The Eden Project, The Lost gardens of Heligan and by using the King Harry Ferry the far west of the county.
