During these uncertain times, we have made the following modifications to our rental to minimize any potential virus transmissions. We have always taken the health and safety of our guests very seriously, and we have enacted even more stringent cleaning and disinfecting procedures at this time. 1) Removal of all kitchen supplies that were meant for your convenience (i .e. , herbs, various condiments, etc). Only individually wrapped salt/pepper shakers as well as a starter supply of organic olive oil and coffee beans will be provided. 2) Removal of bulk toiletries. A starter kit of single use toiletries will be provided. 3) All surfaces and highly touched areas will be wiped down with sanitizers between reservations. (i.e. door handles & draw knobs, controls & light switches, toilet flush handles, towel bars, etc). 4) Hot tub service between reservations has always been a standard procedure. One that will continue to be in place. Your safety is our priority. Please reach out to us should you have any specific requests. The KITESURFER COTTAGE is composed of two structures and tied together by a solarium courtyard. The front cottage features an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining and living room spaces along with 2 bedrooms with queen beds and luxurious bedding. Two bathrooms feature tile showers stocked with comfy towels, and luxurious robes. The main bathroom has a small one-person soaker tub to enjoy after a day spent frolicking at the beach. Hot water from an in-line heater is endless. The entertainer’s kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and crisp, clean subway tile on the walls. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a Jura Espresso maker, a KitchenAid mixer & accessories, Instant Pot & accessories, waffle maker, electric kettle, microwave, toaster oven, and all of the accessories needed to create memorable meals at the beach for family and friends. The front house has gorgeous black tile floor features radiant heat to keep you warm and cozy on chilly mornings along with a majestic wood-burning fireplace with stone facade. The back structure houses a private master suite (above the kids' quarter) which has a second- story view of the beach/Neahkahnie mountain, a luxurious queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom (no tub), and a wet bar. The master suite opens to a 23X12 ft sunning deck with a hot tub and magnificent views. The kids' quarters (below the master suite) sleeps 6 with a queen and 2 twin beds each with a trundle. It has a HDTV with video game capability and this space has a half-bath (toilet + sink). A partially enclosed solarium courtyard connects the front and back structures. This space has a beautiful black slate gas fireplace, a large dining table (seats 12) and lounge chairs to cozy up to the fireplace on cold or rainy days. There is a large stainless steel sink/counter to prepare your meals, and a portable griddle/grill for your outdoors cooking. The KITESURFER COTTAGE is equipped with all of the modern technological standards: High speed WiFi, high-definition TVs with premium cable channels, and portable WiFi speaker.. For your convenience, a Nintendo Switch & various games. A pair of large capacity washer/dryer is available for your use. Come and watch the colorful sails of kite surfers from the picture windows or unwind with a glass of wine in Adirondack chairs on the deck as you watch the tranquil seagrass sway in the wind on the dunes in front of this bright and airy home. The gorgeous 7.5 mile Manzanita Beach lies just over the dunes…steps away. A stroll down Manzanita’s charming Laneda Avenue is just one block away, where you can visit any of the restaurants serving delicious cuisine from gourmet breakfast & lunch specialties to a lively pub, high-end bistros, wine and whiskey bars. A small grocery store conveniently provides all the basics. Stop in at the Visitor’s Center to learn about all the activities taking place in and around town during your stay or visit any of the several artisan and boutique shops. The towns of Nehalem and Wheeler are also nearby, offering additional dining options, delightful shops and river and boating access. Or choose to explore Oswald West State Park or Nehalem Bay State Park which offer year-round biking, hiking and fishing opportunities. Come relax, unwind and get ready to make some new memories here! Please note: 1) We have a STRICT NO PETS policy, NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. 2) Bookings are available 12-month out. We have a 7-day minimum during holidays, as well as during peak summer season (kindly consider a Friday to Friday booking whenever possible). A 4-day minimum booking is requested during off season.
