Summary: We arrived Monday Aug. 7th. The Condo was clean however incredibly hot. We basically had to open all windows and doors. The ceiling fan in the living room makes a ton of noise and needs attention. We actually knew when the power went out at 2:30am due to the fan becoming silent. Also their is Dolly's pizza below the lanai... We could hear every word from the people hanging out in the parking lot as well as it felt/ smelt like they were smoking pot in the living room. Due to the hurricane and fires from Wed. morning until we were able to evacuate Friday morning, a day early from our reservation for safety reasons, it was constant motorcycles, cars, and of course sirens. We met and tried to help as many people as we could, it was a very sad and traumatic time as well as scary as we had no connection, like everyone else, to know what was going on. We were told to keep the garbage in the condo but did not feel good about leaving it there as we were not sure when the owners would be able to enter the place again so we found a garbage we could use. The place is cute due to the decorations and we may have liked it if not for the horrible tragedy that ensued. I did message the owners of our early departure as well as details of leaving the place I believe as clean as possible, other than running the dish washer and the sink would not drain. However we never heard back. We hope Maui recovers and are doing what we can as we have been going to this island for 20 years.
