The open plan living space features a scheme of cool greys and calming blues along with vast contemporary feature windows, divided by a central fireplace with wood burner and a Smart flat-screen TV. The kitchen is a modern Shaker design, complemented by lime-washed accents evocative of coastal driftwood, while large bi-folding doors allow the outside in, leading onto a sunny south-facing deck with barbecue and outside furniture. The three double bedrooms (one en-suite) have a very on-trend vibe, including a whimsical Flamingo design, and a calming Koi in azure blue. A short walk through the woodland will take you up to the quarry top with a viewing platform which offers incredible views towards Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands beyond. GROUND FLOOR Utility/boot room with hanging space for outdoor wear. Washing machine, large fridge/freezer. Open plan sitting room/dining kitchen comprising: Sitting room with two large sofas offering, armchairs, wood burning stove. Large wall mounted Smart TV, Bose sound system. Kitchen with induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, Bosch Tassimo coffee machine. Washing machine and large fridge/freezer in the utility room. Dining area with seating for eight - four chairs and bench seat. Large bi-folding doors open out onto the south-facing deck. Bedroom one with 5’ king size bed, side tables, wardrobe with hanging and drawer space. En-suite bathroom with large shower unit, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Underfloor heating. Bedroom two with 5’ king size bed, side tables, large chest of drawers, hanging hooks. Family bathroom with large shower unit, heated towel rail, basin and WC. Underfloor heating. Bedroom three with zip and link beds which can be configured to 3’ twin or 6’ super king as required, side tables, chest of drawers. OUTSIDE The lodge sits on a site in a development of twelve other properties, all in the same style and in private ownership. The lodge benefits from a south-facing decked terrace to the rear with garden furniture and barbecue. Please note that the decked area is not enclosed and the wider site is a communal space. The owner would be pleased to try and accommodate any request for storage for bikes and outdoor gear. There are a selection of games for outdoor use, and there is a small set of golf clubs which guests are welcome to use. Guests should note that a second phase of ten lodges is being developed on an adjoining site which is separated by a bank at the foot of the quarry. All heavy construction work is complete. This can be seen on the access road when entering Brada but is not visible from Oat Grass Lodge. PARKING There is designated private parking for two vehicles to the front of the property. BABIES & CHILDREN A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. Please note the 'Outside' section as regards the Quarry Viewing Point. DOGS Two dogs are permitted at a charge of £20 per dog but should be kept to the utility/boot room until clean and dry and for sleeping. They must be kept out of the bedrooms and off the furniture. The outside decked area is unfenced therefore dogs must be supervised and kept on leads. GUEST AMENITIES High quality linen and towels. A hairdryer is provided in each of the bedrooms. Luxurious toiletries from Asprey are supplied. WI-FI & MOBILE COVERAGE The lodge benefits from fast fibre broadband. Mobile reception is poor within the property but the signal improves outside. EE provides the best signal. HEATING There is heating throughout the property, with a wood burning stove in the sitting room. An initial supply of logs is provided.
