About the property
Northfield Lodge comprises three properties, Cowdale Cottage, Rabbitdale Barn and The Blacksmith's Shop. Each designed with warmth and comfort in mind, this delightful collection provides the perfect accommodation for families, friends or corporate events thanks to the high-end amenities included in each property and the abundant activities and facilities on-site. Rabbitdale Barn and The Blacksmiths Shop are both complete with a private hot tub overlooking the serene countryside, while Cowdale Cottage enjoys a peaceful, south-facing terrace with views of the Yorkshire Wolds. Cooked English breakfasts, homemade stone baked pizzas and freshly baked bread are also available to pre-book at an additional fee.

There is a country-style kitchen/dining room that is fully equipped with all the essentials, while the light, spacious living room provides the perfect place to socialise and relax . Upstairs, three beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms comprise a zip and link super king bedroom, a king size bedroom and a twin bedroom. Outside, you will have access to a south-facing terrace over looking the wolds with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ.
Rabbitdale Barn

The living room is a particularly cosy space with ample seating space and a log-effect fireplace, while the sociable kitchen provides everything you should need to self-cater with ease. Two beautiful en-suite bedrooms comprise a super-king-size bedroom and a large twin bedroom. Outside, you will have access to a south-facing garden with views over Rabbitdale and a private hot tub and charcoal BBQ.
Blacksmith's Shop

The cottage features a sitting area with a cosy log-effect fireplace, while the kitchenette cupboard provides a small selection of essentials. Just a few steps away is the super-king-size bed and a luxurious bathroom with walk in shower and free standing bath. Outside, you will have access to a terrace with garden seating, gas BBQ and a private hot tub which overlooks the Yorkshire Wolds.

The Northfield Lodge dining room is available to pre-book before your stay and is perfect for family meals, celebrations or events. Seating up to 14 guests, enjoy delicious banquets and dinners prepared by the owner who is a professionally trained cook and offers a range of menus and cuisines to suit your requirements.
There is also a well-stocked bar and a sitting room with a log fire where you can relax, socialise and enjoy a drink with a backdrop of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds.
Willow Sculpting
Willow sculpting and willow weaving require a minimum of six participants. The class includes creating small woodland-themed sculptures, garden frames and baskets to take away with you.
Wire Sculpting
The owner is an expert in wire sculpting and will teach you to create your very own sculpture. Classes run for the full day and a homemade lunch with wine can be included at an additional fee.
Painting and Drawing
The beautiful surroundings provide the perfect setting for beginners and advanced artists alike. The classes are taught by experienced artists, plus a homemade lunch with wine can be included at an additional fee.
Yoga
Relax and recharge in tranquil surroundings and join in on a yoga class with an experienced instructor.
Sourdough Bread Baking
The owner is a passionate cook and will teach you how to make your own loaf of bread and provide a sourdough starter kit so you can work on your new skill at home too.

Deposit: Bookings are subject to a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the booking value plus applicable booking fees with the balance payable 60 days before the date of travel.
Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.
Book with confidence: If your booking is affected by new Government travel restrictions which were not known at the time of booking, and you are legally unable to travel, we will arrange with the property owner to refund 100% of your holiday cost.
