Whistler Core Climbing and Fitness Centre and Family Adventure Zone are also worth visiting. Enjoy the area's slopes with snowboarding and skiing, and don't miss out on the snowmobiling. Northern Lights is family friendly, luxury accommodation. Owner residents expect peace and quiet and require guests to conduct themselves accordingly. Whistler Wired is committed to enforcing this wholly reasonable requirement. The minimum age of all renters is thirty years old with the exception of children. Hot tub use is not permitted after 10pm. Loud music or disturbing behavior will subject your group to significant fines and/or eviction. The neighborhood is regularly patrolled. Garage height clearance is 6.8 feet. The right side of inside the garage is 74 inches width and left side of inside the garage is 88 inches width.
Additional parking for 1 vehicle on the driveway and in Northern Lights guest parking located right next to unit #34. Guest parking is first come first serve and we provide 2 guest parking passes.
Ski in Ski Out Access
The afternoon ski in back home is via a short trail that has the pitch of a blue run that runs off the Lower Olympic green ski run . This ends with the walk down 110 stairs to the middle of the Northern Lights neighbourhood and then is a couple of minutes walk on the street to Northern Lights #34. Less adventurous guests choose to drive or to take a taxi 2 minutes away to the base of Whistler Village to access the gondola and lifts near the Westin Hotel.
From Northern Lights there are two options to access the slopes. The first option is a long walk up 110 stairs, yes we counted. This is recommended if you are in good shape, comfortable walking in ski boots and carrying your equipment and like a warm up walk before you strap on the boards. From the top of the stairs you ski down Lower Olympic, an easy green run, to the base of Whistler Mountain with lift access to both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. At the end of the day retrace your route Lower Olympic to the top of the stairs and walk back down the stairs.
The second option is a short 1-2 minute drive down the road where there is pay parking at the Westin Resort & Spa. This is your best option if you are a novice skier, have young children or if the idea of walking up 110 steps in ski boots carrying your equipment fills you with dread. From the Westin it is a short, flat walk to Whistler Village base. At the end of the day you drive home from the Westin. If you don’t have a vehicle you can taxi to and from the base of Whistler.
