Summary: The host undersells this property - the location is fantastic! Right on the beach with deck overlooking the ocean. The map with the listing seems to show the property is on a nearby inland body of water but this is not the case - the apartment is right on the ocean and immediately next door to Le Petite Hotel. Easy walking distance to Grand Case where you can find multiple restaurants with outstanding food. Free parking available. There is a hair dryer. Four bath towels, two beach towels and one wash cloth were provided but no hand towels or kitchen towels. Very good mattress on the double bed (we did not try the twin beds). The apartment was cool and breezy with 2 AC units in the bedrooms as backup.On a less positive note, I asked the host for access information a few days ahead of our trip and received no response. The host sent texts while we were in route. Our international phone plan did not work as expected so we had difficulty reading his messages and reaching him via phone upon arrival. Avis car rental staff were unbelievably super helpful as we sorted this out. But the problem could have been avoided altogether if the host had responded to a VRBO message and provided access information or his phone number before we left home. During our stay we discovered that the stove does not work although there is a working microwave. I sent another message to the host to which he did not respond.Overall, I give this apartment a very good rating - outstanding location!
