Summary: This was our second year renting the Gathering Place. My husband, children and grandchildren were there for seven days. We had a wonderful time as we did last year. The place is centrally located and very welcoming. It is lake casual and very comfortable. Beautiful views of the lake and easy access of the docks located in the relaxing, pristine state park. We rented a pontoon and went to some of the busier areas on the lake only to quickly return to our quieter retreat and inlets near our place to tube.ski and swim. Grocery stores and other amenities are close at hand. Deer abound along with other wildlife. Lots of board games and foozball provided entertainment and opportunities for our family from around the country to connect with each other. We rate it 5 out of 5 stars and would definitely rent again.
