This means you can rent our Davison Head cabin to you if you have 4 Guests or less. This classic Island cabin has the most desirable waterfront location on Davison Head with a true sunny southwest exposure and beautiful waterside views of the Afterglow Beach, Entrance to Roche Harbor, Pearl and Henry Island and the Canadian Gulf Islands to the Northwest. Our three-bedroom cabin, plus a loft, sleeps 8 and is available by the day, by the week or by the month with seasonal rates priced to provide exceptional value at any time of year. Enjoy the large covered cedar deck overlooking the water with comfortable seating, an outdoor dining table and BBQ. The main level features water views with an open kitchen with a bar, dining area, seating area and a great room with huge rock fireplace. Also on the main floor are the master bedroom, furnished with a king-sized bed. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms both have queen beds. The loft has 2 single beds, plus 2 roll out single beds. The cabin shares 2 bathrooms, one adjoining the master bedroom, the other accessed through the hallway. Sandwiched between the two bathrooms is an adjoining shower accessed by two sliding doors. The laundry area is located in the hallway near the bedrooms and includes washer and dryer, sink and supplies. Wireless internet is provided. Upstairs is an expansive loft. The loft has 4 single beds, an office area, big screen TV and a ping-pong table. The loft is perfect for the younger members of your group! Please note that the loft does not provide total privacy. The cabin has a prime location on Davison Head on San Juan Island near Roche Harbor Resort with spectacular waterfront views and southwestern exposure. Enjoy your morning coffee on the large waterfront deck or use our beach stairs to access our beach and explore the sea life on our rocky shore. Spend time on our large deck and island bank below the deck and enjoy the boats traveling in and out of Roche Harbor and the beautiful evening sunsets over the Canadian Gulf Islands. You are only a 5 minute walk from the scenic Community Isthmus Beach where you can launch your Kayak or small boat, enjoy the evening sunsets or explore the sea life on the pebble beach. On the back of the cabin is the lighted pickle ball court which is available for you to share with the cabin next door. San Juan Island offers whale watching, kayaking, boating, sailing, hiking and much more. Walk, drive or boat to Roche Harbor Resort, only a 5 minute drive away, and enjoy its many amenities, including 3 restaurants, 2 bars, grocery store, Afterglow Spa and moorage for your boat. Or take a walking tour of this historic location, including the McMillan Family Mausoleum and recently restored lime kilns. You can also check out the San Juan Island Distillery and on the way back to the cabin pick up some fresh oysters at Westcott Bay Oyster farm at nearby Westcott Bay. There's even a chandlery and marine service shop for those who arrive by boat. Also, Reuben Tarte Park is about 2 miles away and the Frisbee golf course is about 1 mile away. You will also want to visit the small town of Friday Harbor, only a 20 minute drive away on the east side of the island. Friday Harbor is the largest town in the San Juan Islands with a rich history. In Friday Harbor you will find the ferry landing, airport, a variety of restaurants, public golf course, shopping, art and music events, farmer’s markets and much more. Getting to Roche Harbor is truly half the fun. Most who visit San Juan Island take a Washington State Ferry from Anacortes, but there are many other options available, including private boat or private or commercial airplane. If you plan to come any time between mid-May and September, you can take the Victoria Clipper from Seattle. Or bring your own boat and moor your boat in Roche Harbor. There are also several options available to those who choose to come by air, including scheduled flights on San Juan Airlines or Kenmore Air, and chartered flights on Northwest SkyFerry or Westwind Aviation. Mike and Mary Lee Scarff are the cabin’s owners. They also own the cabin on the adjacent lot to the North and enjoy staying there with their 4 children during various times of the year. The pickle-ball court is the only item shared between the two lots.
