Built in the 1800s, Beranghi Homestead is a lovingly restored, character-filled farmhouse set on 70 acres of tranquil farmland, just a stone's throw from the famed surf town of Crescent Head.
As one of original homesteads of the mid-north coast region, Beranghi is rich in history, previously serving as a working dairy farm, a post office and school house. Having recently undergone an extensive renovation, today it provides families and friends with the perfect place to get away and enjoy slow days and special times.
Features include hardwood floors, fresh white walls, high ceilings, open plan living, a huge outdoor patio, wrap around veranda, peaceful reading nooks, handpicked antique furniture, natural linens and brass detailing.
Surrounded by lush green paddocks, ancient Moreton Bay Figs, huge Australian Gums, curious resident kangaroos and sleepy koalas, this character-filled home is equipped with everything you need.
The expansive kitchen, dining and living area is the true hub of Beranghi Homestead. Huge comfortable sofas surround a central open fireplace, the wooden farmhouse dining table is perfect for long lunches and dinners, and a timber butcher block bench provides additional seating ideal for relaxed breakfasts or evening drinks.
Entertainment is covered with a wall mounted 55 inch TV with Foxtel connection and a Sonos Music System. Chefs will enjoy the fully equipped deVOL kitchen that has everything needed for entertaining including a full walk-in pantry and SMEG appliances.
Each of the five bedrooms feature high ceilings and an abundance of natural light, as well as ceiling fans or air conditioning for extra comfort on warmer evenings. All beds have brand new mattresses and are made up with French Linen and Luxurious Bamboo Cotton Sheets.
There are three bathrooms in the homestead, as well as an open style laundry with separate Washing Machine & Dryer.
Outside a stunning west-facing entertaining patio overlooks the old dairy and the 100-year-old Moreton Bay Figs. There is a fire pit area and outdoor cedar hot tub. Wrapping all the way around the house, the covered verandah provides many different seating areas. The most peaceful spot is the north overlooking the orchard where you’ll find Lemon Myrtle, Macadamia and Mango Trees, just to name a few.
Access to Connection Creek can be found at the bottom of the hill, perfect for refreshing dips, kayak adventures, fishing and sundowners on the jetty.
It is conveniently located on the NSW Mid-North Coast, halfway between Sydney and Byron Bay. It’s just a 15 minute drive off the Pacific Highway, and a further 10-12 minutes into Crescent Head village, where you’ll find shops, cafes, restaurants, the family friendly Killick Creek, as well as some of Australia’s most famed surf breaks.
