Welcome to The Glebe Castle where your DC memories are made! Close to all DC attractions in desirable area. Chef's kitchen is fully stocked and ready for memorable meals. The Castle has a dedicated office equipped with executive desk, office supplies, and high speed wifi. Sunny backyard, grass lawn, and koi pond. Lots of parking!
The Glebe Castle is located right off Interstate 66 and is EXTREMELY quiet and conveniently located in The Ballston Neighborhood; close to everything! The Glebe Caste is 10 mins away from DCA, The Pentagon, and Arlington Cemetery and roughly a 12-15 minute drive to all the DC monuments. Or you can easily take the metro bus directly across the driveway at the community church. The bus cost $2 and takes you right to The Ballston Metro Station. Or take the sidewalk to the metro station in roughly 20 mins depending on your walking speed. No hills... flat as walking in Kansas.
The Castle is also powered by 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY; as I believe a home this size should have a minimal carbon footprint. With each reservation there is a donation made to The Virginia REC Select program, which contributes to build more renewable and sustainable energy for everyone. Unfortunately, I do not have a car charger, however you are more than welcome to plug up your electric vehicle via a drip charger.
The home is large and has plenty of space to spread out! Parking for up to three vehicles (two vehicles in tandem) and plenty of FREE street parking behind the home in a very safe neighborhood. Large fenced yard situated on four city lots with two patios (front and back) and a koi pond... yes you can feed the fish with the provided food!
Very peaceful scenery and historic home. And super clean!! Built in 1939, the homes cobblestones are from the original streets of Georgetown and the brick driveway has hand stamped bricks. Home features high quality furnishings and finishes. Kitchen boast professional appliances including Viking and KitchenAid, granite counter tops, professional KitchenAid stand mixer, Cuisinart fondue pot, Ninja blender, Viking 6 burner gas stove and convection oven, and an abundance of cookware and utensils.
Original hardwoods and high end velvet pile carpeting throughout the home. The Glebe Castle has SIX LARGE Roku TV's too. Live TV available via the Sling app. The living room has a HUGE 70 inch TV, main floor master has a 65 inch, secondary king room on second level has a 55 inch, and the other
two bedrooms and kitchen all have 43 inch TV's. You won't miss a move on game day here! The living room has a great sound system perfect for family movie night!
The upstairs office is fully socked and is truly a remarkable space to get a lot of work accomplished. The office is set up for remote working. The office has everything and more you need to have a productive workday. Hi-Speed Fios Wi-Fi with speeds up to 700 MBPS allow multiple devices, gaming, and computing all at the same time.
Private back patio overlooks the koi pond and has a gas grill ready to use and is surrounded by mature greenery. Smart-lock on front door for easy access in and out.
