Welcome to the Ruby House! Our brand new listing! An impeccably remodeled 1800’s farmhouse in the tranquil Catskill Mountains. The house sits on 5 acres with uninterrupted views of rolling hills and our private swimmable pond. Take in the views while relaxing on the massive deck, dining in the kitchen or relaxing in bed. The views and interior design will have you extending your stay because you won’t want to leave.
The Ruby House is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom fully remodeled farmhouse, originally built in the 1820’s. Without losing its historic charm, this home is updated with all the modern amenities you could want in a vacation rents. The bedrooms are all furnished with king beds, plush linens and modern design. Two of the bedrooms are located on the lower level of the home and they both have en suites bathrooms with walk-in showers. The additional 2 bedrooms are located on the third floor of the home and they share a Jack and Jill bathroom with walk-in shower, free standing tub, and double vanity.
The home is three levels high and has 2 staircases. Enter on the lower level where you will find 2 master en suite bedrooms, and the laundry room. The staircase takes you to the main level where you will find the living room and kitchen/dining room. This main floor is perfectly equipped for everything you need to jump into vacation mode and begin relaxing. The living room has Bluetooth speakers, and a retractable projector for your viewing pleasure. The large sectional provides ample seating necessary for you and your guests to relax by the fire. Feel free to engage in a game of chess at the chess table, or choose from other board games available in the credenza.
The remodeled kitchen and dining area are across the hall from the living room. You can cook to your hearts desire with a fully stocked kitchen, including and not limited to, cookware, serving trays, dinnerware etc. Spices are provided as are Nespresso pods for your morning coffee. The back deck is off the main level. We have a large outdoor dining table and chairs, and bbq for use year round. In summer, enjoy a swim in our swimmable all natural spring-fed pond. The pond is treated and maintained for safe summer swimming! Adirondack chairs are situated around the outdoor fire pit at the edge of the pond for additional seating and enjoyment year round.
In winter, our home is a short 15 minute drive from two ski mountains: plattekill and belleayre.
