Summary: From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left The New Holgate was warm, friendly and relaxing. The guy that was on reception was so helpful and showed us to our room. The room was spotless and very inviting. The bathroom clean and everything as it should be. Checking in and out on the email that was sent made it seamless and gave us a little extra time to relax. The hotel is situated far enough from the centre of York to be peaceful but close enough to walk there in approx. 10 mins. The only down side being really picky was the water pressure for both the shower and bath. The shower almost trickled out and the bath took and eternity to fill. That being said it wasn't enough to ruin our stay. We would highly recommend and will certainly be returning.
