Between the market town of Ashbourne and historic Wirksworth with its leadmining origins, you’ll have plenty of interesting places and attractions to visit. Wirksworth’s is a good place to start with its heritage railway and heritage trail, Northern Lights little cinema, range of friendly pubs and a brilliant restaurant. Majestic Chatsworth House and historic Haddon Hall are just up the Derwent Valley, or pass through Bakewell, famous for its 'Puddings' and explore the real Peaks, with glorious views, sparkling rivers and beautiful villages.
